It's ridiculously hideous and the likes of 1000Toys and MAFEX show you can preserve the sculpt and afford the same range without having to do what Bandai did here. That medial area of the upper arm is not only so disproportionately skinny but the joint system - massive cavity, thin peg, and all - is super noticeable too, especially since a lot of Guts poses have his arms raised like 15:52.
I like your Gundam kit reviews a lot, but I own this figure. It's not good. Sure it looks good (proportions aside), but out of the box the joints were terribly loose. Parts fall off all the time, and the sword holding hand did not fit on the peg without modification. I've bought a lot of SH Figuarts, they're usually very good. This is one to avoid. And I say that as a fan of Berserk.

Which was filing the peg down until it fit. Unfortunately this resulted in the peg no longer being able to support the weight when the sword was being held. I've ended up just gluing the hand onto the peg. I'd rather have perma-sword holding hand than a Guts who can't even hold his sword up. The QC on this figure is shocking tbh.

As much as I think this is one of the best painted and sculpted S.H. Figuarts in recent years, it also has some of the most inconsistent QC I’ve seen from this line. This figure has way too many problems to be considered perfect, which is a shame because the sculptors work is all but overshadowed by the issues.
Just looking at the proportions, the gaps for the shoulders making it look anatomically awful, the joints looking extremely flimsy... No, this is far from perfect. I understand some people want their purchases to be "validated", but this is not it. No one needs to have the figure in-hand to see all of the problems which they managed to hide in promo shots. As much as I can appreciate a figure like the figma Doom Slayer, even I will be objective and say that it doesn't look like it should and some of the proportions and engineering aren't up to par. Tamashii Nations just messed up on this one.
I agree, the figure absolutely captures Guts character perfectly. 100% better than all the Figmas. People seem to hate this SHF one because yeah, it's hard to pose and takes A LOT of time to make it looks nice. And it requires base. Sometimes something will fall off too. But when it finally does look nice and you capture great pose, it's really incredible. The details are great. Head sculpts are insanely well done. For me looks are more important then articulation problems because you can always work around it. And when it comes to poor looks of the figure, there's really nothing you can do about it and even the greatest articulation won't save ugly figure. That's just my opinion. I absolutely love this figure and will try the other Guts from SHF if the opportunity arises.

Figuarts Guts looks amazing but my is very flimsy and doesn't hold the pose with heavy sword I was surprised your hand doesn't fall out still I prefer Figma because it's easier to pose and more fun but also I'm thrilled Figuarts is giving us Berserk figure version what figma didn't, prototype of Zogg looked interesting

I actually commend the efforts of engineering and modeling of this action figure. They 'tried'. It's just that it's a bit fragile and not strong enough to hold some of its pieces. I'd still buy it. Hey Mecha, if you wanna get an actually good SH Figuarts figure might I recommend none other than the SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Skull? It's basically one of the coolest figures they released based on one of the coolest Riders imo. Seriously look him up and get him. You won't regret it.
I really hope this one feels more sturdy or high quality than Griffith. I was a little disappointed overall, lots of paint issues and the plastic feels very very light-

Your guts’ joints seems alright. Mine has loose upper torso and left leg😢 And also you forgot to mention that crossbow piece that can be mount on the back

Shoulder-joints are HORRIBLE - do the "Arm up holding the sword pose" and all you see is a wide open gap - this is probably the worst joint in recent years. And take a look at the promotional pictures from Bandai. They even hide this fact by covering the shoulder in pure-black shadows. The left shoulder armor is split in half without getting better posing abilities. Medicos has similar shoulder joints but at least they integrated it better into the upper body design. the proportion of the whole figure is messed up - the arms couldn't be any longer. Many reports of broken arm pegs, armor pieces in the toy collecting community. Massively overpriced with $100 (at bbts) - even higher in the EU - that is roughly $30 more as the average DBZ price. Every longtime toy collector can see the problems. Guts - the first Figuarts release of the Berserk licence should open the market and interest for other characters... but with this release they totally destroy any interest for further figures. So calling this figure "Perfect" is wild. Well... At least the headsculpts are very good but at what cost? sorry for typos but this figure makes me so angry.

As a Gunpla lover myself I see why you rated this figure highly as it's beautiful but super finicky and fragile which is alright, but as a figure collector looking at an articulated figure standpoint, this thing is a mess sadly. The questionable joints and design decisions are so dated and out of place. S.H are known for killing it, but this line so far has been pretty poor.
Anthony has a low rating on most things. Mine doesn’t fall apart at all like some other reviews I’ve seen but I do wish they used a different peg for the wrists for a figure with such a big sword. Pretty silly engineering there because I’m sure in testing he couldn’t hold the Dragon Slayer
Worst figure I ever bought. While trying to get the damn sword hand on which was a pain, the damn crossbow holster on the back broke off. Then the jaw part broke while trying to attach it after the cape. Never buying from SH Figuarts again.
I just ordered a Griffin instead of him...because I've seen and heard the issues and he comes with a nonfunctional whole horse... and yay after a couple years not a kit or Gunpla, sorry

Solo leveling will dominate Japanese anime industry next season. For there is no potent native Japanese anime in winter 2024. En taro Admiral Yi. Korea dominates Japanese anime which Chinese donghua couldn't. With less budget, less manpower. Sung Jin Woo Figurise or HGWT would be compatible with 30MS to make your own Sung Jin Woo the solo leveler, with wing of light or twin buster rifle, jetpack and even full armor sung jin woo.

The figure is ok but it's there are a lot of design flaws. I still prefer the Figma versions.
Looks cool, but it seems little flimsy. Think I'll hold out for the Threezero Skull Knight and see how that turns out.

I just got done making MG Barbatos into a kitbash with beserk. I needed to paint the cloak and this video helped thank you.
