Higher end shoes usually come with leather soles which is REALLY impractical if there’s any moisture on the ground (looks beautiful though). So a lot of people will have them "resoled"/a rubber sole added on top to make them more durable and less slippy! Usually only to the heel and toe, but I guess that depends on the shoe you’re having resoled.
@@The.CarolineExactly, I also did that immediately after purchasing with all of my more expensive shoes. They even advised me to do that in order to protect the leather soles...
I learned many years ago the secret to designer clothes from Aunt Mary. One week, she and the other ladies in the shop in NJ would sew Ralph Lauren. The next week they were sewing for K Mart. Different patterns and fabric sewn by the same women. Don't get stuck on labels. Learn about quality.
So few people know what to look for when it comes to determining quality. My mother taught me. She did attend seamstress school as a young woman growing up in Japan.
They should be able to authenticate them in store. If they confirm they are fake, you should be able to get a refund from the seller and if not, your card provider. It’s consumer protection law! Just need written proof it’s fake xx
No luxury store is checking for authenticity. I even bought a hideous Fake Givenchy Shirt and just took it to Givenchy and asked them to confirm if they have that sample in their stores they refused.
I don’t think it’s that important, if you like them and they make you happy, enjoy them . Don’t think about that they are second hand. They are beautiful shoes ❤
There are good resellers out there that send products to be authenticated. Sometimes you have read between the lines of a listing to figure out if it’s authentic. I’ve seen Chanel bags sold for $500 and they look REALLY good but when you ask “is this authentic?” They usually evade the question and answer broadly.
I believe they are authentic, the material used means the CC is less noticeable. I have the same fabric and the CC is less prominent than the leather version. The only issue is they have been resoled. Look carefully at the original visible part to compare. I’m pretty sure they are authentic but get them authenticated to be totally certain. 👌
If she’s gonna wear stinky shoes previously worn by some stranger she better make sure they are real. I personally would not get caught death wearing pre used shoes especially shoes that are not worn with socks.
I seriously don't think anyone cares. I've never been one to obsess over a brand name item. If it's fake and I like it and it's in good condition I use it or wear it. No big deal.
I think it becomes a big deal because of the money spent. Some people care about labels. I've never given a crap, but my older sister was a label junkie. Just a preference some people have.
@@welcometorenland You're correct. I agree with you. If I had the money, and I needed to go somewhere special and wanted a designer bag, I'd probably pay a thousand or more for it but, still, it seems silly to me to pay that much just to wear someone else's name. But all in all like you said, it's personal preference.
@utubechannel3846 I agree. Although, I'd go spend 30 at Walmart or Amazon and feel just as fancy. I'm simple, I'll never get it. I wish I enjoyed the hair, makeup and clothes. I'm just not that girl.
Mercari actually sends you a certificate of authenticity with the serial number of the product (usually for Chanel is 7 numbers. Each luxury product has a unique number, so that’s how you know it’s authenticity. The Chanel bags for example have this number hidden in the corner with the Chanel logo below this number. It’s tiny but if you look inside the corner you’ll see it. The real real also certifies your purchase.
They do look authentic. Believe the cc logo is faint because it’s not on leather. From what site did you purchase as most authenticate before sending? Xx
I have a smilar style just different color definitely harder to see but when I bought them from Chanel I noticed that it doesn’t pop as much as it does with the other style
What is more important to you The look that somebody else sees or the quality that you feel if the look is important don't waste your money by in genuine Chanel If quality is important then carry on buying quality but make sure that what you're getting is quality irrespective of the brand
I'm not sure if they are fake or not, I'm not a brand person but I do pay attention fabrics for comfort reasons. I have leather shoes that I've had re-soled just because they were too impractical to walk in (slipping hazard).
They are original the material is some type of suede that’s why the logo looks flat. It happens in all embroidery in suede as the article ages. The fact that they “resole” the shoes tells you how old and genuine they’re as no one it’s going to spend more money replacing parts on counterfeits
It is better to buy new things instead of second hand things just for the brand 🙄 There are many things more important in life than the brand of your outfit.
Does it really matter what make they are? I buy from both Primark and upmarket dept stores. If I like the product, and it feels comfortable to wear, I'll buy it no matter what the name on the label says.
I dont think it's fake, but poorly repaired. I didn't know Chanel boutiques do afterwards services and repairs on shoes, so I sent to a shoe repair shop in town. They wrecked it by adding this thick heel that made the shoes feel like loafers and added something to the bottom to "protect" the bottoms, but it made the shoe super uncomfortable. I have a feeling that's what happened with the shoes you got.
DHL shipping package never be a good sign, it chanel through my head and screaming FAKE. i love how she remains positive 😅,hopefully behind the sense she doing alright 😂
How can you own all that Chanel shoes and not tell a fake immediately just from the sole?😂😂😂
Stay strong
That’s why she said they have been “re-soled”

@@remittri It Used to be. No longer true. You have to know what to look for to find well made products.
Those were quality clothes made in the USA, now everything is made in China

Retail shops cannot and will not authenticate, they cannot be held liable if their employees get it wrong
No luxury store is checking for authenticity. I even bought a hideous Fake Givenchy Shirt and just took it to Givenchy and asked them to confirm if they have that sample in their stores they refused.
They do not do that.
It all depends on the company. Especially high-end sneakers will guarantee.
They don’t authenticate
I don’t think it’s that important, if you like them and they make you happy, enjoy them . Don’t think about that they are second hand. They are beautiful shoes ❤
Agreed. But if I payed a lot of money for the real thing I world expect them to be the real thing.
Second hand is not her issue. Being fake is.
Her reputation is on the stakes. If she's seen wearing one fake Chanel, people will second guess all her other purchases.
It does matter when you pay 500 for second hand vs 500 for fakes!
These bloody influencers dives me nuts. Because of these stupid influencers brands have gone so commercialized

probably all fakes too
I have flats from the same collection and the CCs are also faint. They look genuine to me 😊❤️
They are authentic, it’s because of the fabric that’s why the CC isn’t as bold.
That’s what I was thinking
I believe so to

Nope. Sole is all wrong. Fake.

Lol that price alone tells you it’s a bad fake 😅
They are fabric so the CC looks different, but they look real to me.
Those are genuine. The fact that they had to be resoled indicates leather soles. Besides fakers aren't trying to obscure the CC logo.
All CC logos are raised embroidery not like those counterfeits
would be informative if you mentioned WHERE u purchased them from
That box is DHgate… they sell designer look alikes

They look authentic to me. The fabric on the toe obscures the logo more than shiny leather or patent.

Exactly places like VESTIARE etc authenticate before you can sell an item
Outlet store models is a less expensive creation

Sorry but it’s a no No. for me !!! Second hand shoes 👠 😳
Ikr. The microflora that is left after someone else's foot marinating in there 😷
Guess you’ve never been poor enough to need second hand shoes.
Purely for the hygiene factor - I’d rather get a brand new pair of non designer shoes than wear someone else’s old fungus.
I have a white and black pair in lambskin. Maybe it’s because it’s a different material but my logo is more defined too
I’m an authenticator. Happy to take a look at some photos for you!
"They look so cuteeeeeeee🥺💕and they feel really DIFFERENT 🗿"
Take them to Channel. If you think they look really cute and they're not authentic will you not wear them?
such a risk taker!!!!
I’m wondering if the black has been re-dyed and that’s what’s made the cc less noticeable - please let us know the outcome Amelia xx
Look for a serial number on your Chanel shoes that is stamped in the same color as the insole brand stamp.
Anytime I see the DHL box I know it’s a questionable purchase
If they look good & you love them, who cares if the real or fake, keep them & wear them.
My thoughts as well
Always look at the sellers rating and history.

Idk if I’m looking at your shoes vs your face. Both look good though!
Chanel isn't embossed inside. Definitely get your money back 💯
Take them to your chanel boutique and see if yhey can tell u if they are authentic or not
You could get the CC Chanel charms and put them on the shoes over the fainted CC. Or not.
Gurl, that’s not second hand. That’s fake 😂
Fabric ones are less obvious
I do it will all of my chanel shoes. The leather sohl is so thin. Is more save

Where did you get your top?
How many pairs of Chanel shoes does one person need yet she buys more.
Stop the obsession over these luxury brands. Spend your hard earned money on quality products .
I have a few pairs of chanel flats and not all of them have the black sole

Why buy them 2nd hand when you buy them directly?
If you have money to buy new shoes , why go pay for someone’s used ones ?? That’s so gross 🤮
❤❤
They’re very cute. I bet they’re knock offs like you’d get at a vender on the streets of NYC. ❤
Definitely fakes…

It’s the white bottom. Forget the black rubber addition
I don’t understand why Amelia doesn’t just buy them directly from Chanel - she has the money! These were clearly fakes, such a bummer.
The box was dhgate cmon
You can tell it is counterfeit, but it does match her outfit.
