    About Jeremy Gronau:
After serving as an Apache Helicopter Pilot for 3-17 Cavalry in the 3rd Infantry Division, my nine years in the Army defined much of who I was. But returning home from Afghanistan in 2017, I was greeted not by peace but by a storm of personal upheaval: my wife mourning her mother's passing while raising our newborn child, our home damaged by a hurricane, my parents' marriage crumbling in divorce, and my own physical and mental health spiraling downward. Consumed by anger and depression, my search for meaning led me through various self-help resources and endless medical consultations, yet I found little relief.
In the fall of 2019, seeking some semblance of healing, I turned to a Christian bible study group. While traveling for a business trip, I opened the New Testament for the very first time. There, high above the clouds en route to Montreal with the Book of Matthew in hand, I began to piece together a different perspective on life and faith-I discovered a Jesus I never knew. This experience shattered the false image of God I created over the years.
A few months later, on December 23, 2019, my life's trajectory veered off course once more. A family ski trip ended in a nightmarish twist when our car hydroplaned off the road and into a tree at 60 mph. We were crushed in the vehicle, I was unconscious, and my whole family was seriously injured. In the aftermath, my injuries were grave.
After multiple grueling surgeries that followed, a profound peace settled over me, a testament to the prayers I whispered in the operating room. I awoke to a daunting recovery but with both legs intact and a verse from Matthew echoing in my mind. This accident, as horrific as it was, became a turning point. It wasn't just my leg that was reconstructed, but my heart and soul too. I emerged from this ordeal with a newfound faith, a deeper appreciation for life, and a profound understanding of God's presence in my darkest hours.
Now, each step I take on this new journey is a gift I attribute to Divine grace. A profound calling redirected my career toward Christian counseling, leading me to enroll in the Pastoral Counseling - Crisis Response & Trauma program at Liberty University. My vision is clear: to restore hope and provide healing to veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors through faith-based counseling and coaching, drawing from my personal journey of resilience and spiritual growth. Warriors in Christ Christian Counseling is set to launch at the start of the new year.
