Alert Drivers Faster
Federal Signal’s LED Traffic Clearing Light (TCL) is designed to bring attention to drivers as a fire apparatus or ambulanceis approaching from the rear of their vehicle. The LED TCL’s optics and unique sequence of flash patterns direct light to the driver’s rear-view mirror warning them of the emergency vehicle.
LED TCL and perimeter warning lights work together to help warn roadway traffic. While perimeter lights provide 360-degree of warning light around the emergency vehicle, the LED TCL produces 250+ feet of directional light to the front of the emergency vehicle.

I don't believe I've ever heard an LED emergency light described as "charming."
The first demo reminds me of the Mars "888" light.
I think Chris had a little too much coffee.
He's got lots of energy :)
Just found out it comes in amber, blue, red, white and green. You could make some very effective warning systems using these
What would have helped to view this device is to see it at a distance during the day and night
But as always a great video from Sirennet
That's in the works for our second look at this great light. :)
I would like to see this next to a similar sized LED simply flashing the full light. I have trouble believing that the "flickering and dancing" is anything more than a gimmick. Flashing a solid white 9x7 modern LED is always going to get more attention than lighting up 1/16th of it in patterns to simulate a MARS 888.
We have these at our ambulances where I am and they are VERY VERY effective at clearing traffic!! Great light!!
Fantastic to hear :)
Thanks for finally covering this light
I agree, it isn't found on fedsig's website
Can this also be used as a spot light at the emergency site?
Its always a great informative video and the best from Oregon.
Thank you :)
Very nice option to Roto-Ray
Thanks for video's...wig wag headlamps and wig wag spotlights l.e.d. )so powerful, simple switch
Thank you for watching. 😀
Very innovative! I like it! Would be perfect for fire apparatus.
Thanks for watching :)
No doubt FDNY will put half a dozen on each vehicle...
That’s all? Must be budget cutbacks.
Wish they would have shown all the patterns using unfiltered (ambient) light. Looks very effective.
thats pretty sweet
The only thing that counts is traffic response. Would be good to see some demonstrations.
Wicked light but they should've made it with a takedown mode and/or a momentary fast strobe mode... think of an airhorn, but with light.
Interesting idea :)
Hoping they will offer this (or the smaller pair sized) in colors, many applications if colors were available.... Wonder if it will eventually have a steady burn feature as a work/scene light since it claims to have good distance illumination?
We haven't heard anything yet, but good ideas. The white has a good outward project of 250+ feet.
thats not the purpose of the light. its specific purpose is to be seen from a distance, catch your eye via the rear view mirror. They work really well for the task at hand. I used to refer to it as my secret weapon...
Or....just use wig wags on your headlights? Would love to see a study comparing the 2 options.
Be better to see the flash patterns from a distance instead of close like it was.
Can it use for headlight in front of vehicle and trucks
These aren't for use as headlights. If you have a rig with 6 x 4 buckets or older 6 x 4 strobe / halogen warning lights, these would be a great retro-fit solution for forward facing traffic clearing.
Just what I need on the front of my Honda farm ATV.
Will it fit on a 2015 Chevy Traverse?😂
looks awesome
Do they make a dual color version?
They are only available in single color, with a clear or color matching lens. Thanks for watching!
The white is too bright/blinding causing some drivers confusion/panic. Blue(with a combination of some white) would be a better, in a on/off, in/out pattern that catches the human eye much better than the discomobile patterns.
Well, it only comes in white or amber so that's kinda out the window.
Is this product now always available ?
They're available to order. Along with White, they also come in Red, Blue, Amber, and Green. sirennet.com/federal-signal-ledtcl97-traffic-clearing-light.html
Can you guys film this outside to get a better idea of the light disbursement???
Sounds like a plan :)
SIRENNET looking forward to it!
Will you be at FDIC?
You never know where Sirennet TV might pop-up :)
@@SIRENNET how about SirenNet the company, will they be there?
@@SimonTekConley Not this year.
Do these come in red or just white?
White and Amber are the current color options.
