What did you use to make your shapes for the template? Did you just “eyeball it” or are there measurements you used? Either way it’s very cool I wanna try it!!!
That fabric is called "felt" and it usually comes in square pieces, about 12" x 12"-as I remember-and it comes in really many colors. It is sold at crafts or hobbies stores and also many pharmacies sell it, when they have a crafts section; at school supplies stores, too. If you buy it where sewing supplies are sold, you might also get it by the yard.
