Polish WZ93 Camouflage Effectiveness
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 вер 2015
- In this video we look at the effectiveness of the Polish WZ93 Pantera Camouflage pattern, in a heavily vegetated woodland environment during the summer time in north Texas. This video will consist of numerous scenes where each will begin with a concealed stationary position (both with & without the use of vegetation), followed by a movement phase out of the initial position. The purpose of the video is to give the viewer a chance to see the individual camouflage pattern and how it looks and blends into this environment. There will be varying degrees of how much of the uniform will be exposed to the viewer, some scenes will only expose little more than perhaps my head, while other scenes will have virtually no vegetation covering.
Some references about the pattern can be found at:

When I did Airsoft one of my friend got this camo. Other guys wear US Army or British patterns ( I live in Manchester). Polish camo, when he lays low, was almost invisible for enemy. He played as sniper and in one occasion he ambush enemy by let them literally walk over him. They didn't notice him from few feet distance and than he finished all of them from pistol by shooting them in a back. That was epic game.
Strange, in a typical environment it's used in, it's pretty outdated and terrible.
Polish nature looks similar to Czech and their camouflage is similar too, I think both our camos are very good, maybe outdated, but still good working
@@HB013b I think that it simply isn't outdated in polish conditions.
@@HB013b Have you seen Belgian or Swedish camo?
@@HB013b Swedish camo is still worse than polish wz 93.
I still think that wz 93 is good enough. I know that there are better ones, besides they are developing upgraded versions.
I think polish army has always been great. Like ww2 where they actually put up a fight against both nazis and soviets holding them off longer than what it took for france to fall
Very nice. I've always had a deep respect for our Polish acquaintances, and for their ingenuity.
Hi everyone! Can someone please tell me why this video has sky rocketed in views. Did someone or something reference my video that is driving people here? If so PLEASE tell me so I can thank them.
+Brent0331 Well, it appeared suddenly among recommendations on my youtube "home" page - maybe it got bumped up in the search engine for some reason... There's some pretty important stuff going on in Poland (the new national-socialist government and the president are violating the Constitution quite badly) and maybe the "Polish" keyword got higher "score"? But don't thank those bastards, please ;)
lol, thanks for the explanation brother.
+Brent0331 +Brent0331 Man dont trust it what he said. The current government is
doing same thing like old did, but the old government, after losing
elections, has pain in the ass, that's all. I don't support any of them,
they are both socialist and bad. The wrost thing is that old
government, are such scums and betrayers that, they wanna make some EU
intervention to regain control. Any foreign troop on this land will have
bad time here I promise. It's like asking Russia to make war
intervention in US because some people don't like D. Trump etc.
+Brent0331 lol dont listen to important gov stuff
u were quite right with your gess - it was recomended on a very popular site with all sorts of bull shiet

Hey, I was just guessing.
Ah, Polish soldiers sure are something. I met a few during the Waterloo 200th anniversary reenactment in June, and they were great fellows. Their camp was next to ours in the French area, and they always visited us in our tents, bringing all sorts of drinks to share with us. I remember the last night of encampment we threw all the wood and hay left into a big fire, sat around it shared songs from our countries (Argentina, Spain and Poland, that is), all while drinking a strange mix the Poles concocted out of Vodka and who knows what else.
By the way, Brent, I was wondering if you could some day make a video of your top 10 camouflage patterns, and how well they perform in the environment they were designed for. I think you'd be a great referent for an objective review.
Napomeon loved his Polish Guards. They were drinking their moonshine and had no problem with cobtaminated water. Franch officers complaibed that the were drinking. Napoleon said, so you should be drunk as Poles. (Drunk and ready to heavy fight)...
Poles are good dudes
+Martellus oh yea
I would not generalize ;) As everywhere there are good people, relatively neutral people and total assholes ;)
True..

Haha, i lived and work in a small polish village and most people where really unpolite,
unreliable and introverted there, but i know a lot of really really nice polish people who left poland because of that reasons.
In WW II, my grandfather Abraham fought in the 2nd Polish Corps from Osh, Kyrgyzstan to Lublin, Poland as a sapper. Family was refugees fleeing the Nazis and Osh was where the 2nd Polish Corps was formed under Soviet command. Finally was mustered out with malaria and a white phosphorus burns to the right side of his face. He never shaved on the that side. I have some photos, documents, and stuff from him on my AK ammo score video posted about a year ago. Pantera pattern there definitely works well in the shade with darker background plants. When the sunlight turns the vegetation green seems easier to spot.
+Hawaii Volcano Squad Try to look at new Polish "mapa" camouflage.
Hawaii Volcano Squad i respect your grandfather entirely
Can you please provide the URL? Much apprecieated.

I know one thing from what I could not see. Those Polish knows what they are doing camo wise. Surprised of how it becomes blended in and not blacked out the further you are away from the camera.

These camouflage effectiveness videos are a unique, special, and well executed project. You have an amazing collection of videos now. They are a joy to watch. I like to just leave them on in the background and hear the sounds of nature.
Hello! Greetings from Poland! Keep up the good work :)
+Bassline Delivery Thanks brother.
WZ93 Panther is nice camo, I was surprised that how good it works in woodland background. I'm sure you are going to be delighted with new camouflage system - similar to Multicam. It's not released yet but there is a huge progress.
Cheers from Poland.
MAPA?
that what is desigh for
similar to Multicam? are you writing about SG-14?
@@redactedcanceledcensored6890 I would rather say SUEZ, which is multiterrain. Unfortunately due to dark overall presentation of WZ 93 in light or lighter bacgrounds it is very visible, especially due to the fact that it does not break up the silhouette very good, and appears as single color from not that far at all. MAPA is a great concept, which performs better and is more able in terms of changes and adjustments to bacgrounf if they wanted to make it FG, Arid, Winter variants. Unfortunately the army went with WZ 93 again, when they could have changed it into something modern, comperable to A-TACS or Pencott.
WZ 93 is a concept that has been created at the beginning of 1990s, to differ from communist time patterns. But the source material came from 1960s and 1970s (based on a project of uniforms for Libyan army), so it is more or less like Duckhunter or Tiger stripes. It is time to let it go. And there was a process in place for that with the Polish Army. Unfortunately as they compared Puma (codename fo WZ 93, as option to extend its operation time), Lampart (developt in polish Future Soldier project TYTAN) and 2 MAPA patterns (MAPA-A and MAPA-B, which were developed in DROMADER project by Maskpol) they've decided to stay with WZ 93. Why? Beats me, maybe corruption... IDK
As a pole and Panter pattern user for over 4,5 years of airsofting, it was easy to find you in most cases. I failed to find you 4 times in total. This video confirmed what I thought about our pattern, it's great for camouflaging against trees, dirt and in shadows. I also enjoyed your story and I must say, it didn't even suprise me, it's a very polish thing to do :D
I love your videos, and hearing these stories makes it a million times better, maybe we could hear some more stories in your future videos?
Wow. This camouflage does indeed appear to be very effective.
i have no military back ground, I don't shoot or hunt...this was really interesting. So difficult, near the end I was finding you (sometimes) but was never 100%
you just need some "training" for this... I could see him in almost every picture, i don't know if i am super skilled on this or the camo isn't that good
giuseppe landolfi camo really isn’t designed for that environment looks a little to “south” to properly work, it would work in the mid Atlantic region of the US as well as the Northeast and obviously Europe, where it was intended to be used, I guess it could also be used in Canada and the Northwest, any forest area that has a lot of dark green vegetation like fern and moss would work perfectly for this design
I've heard good things about the Poles
+Daniel Baird Read some Polish history . You will not belive.Do you hear something about Husars? They dont loose any battle for 150 years.
Greetings and sory for my english.
Your english is ok, stop say sorry for your english man.
Polish people are like:
"Hi (sorry for my English)"
Can't have a stripper without one...
I think they are kinda cold
Excellent demonstration. It seemed to me that the closer you were to the ground, the more effective the camo was.
Works like magic in the dirt, browns and deadfall, not so much in the greens, it really has understated greens. It would make an excellent winter/fall pattern for your woods when everything is dead and brown. Impressive.
Awesome story, thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for testing the wz93; it seems to work well.
Since I've seen a couple of your camo videos I know what to look for. If I were strolling by I'd never even know you were there! Good stuff,I learned alot! Thanks for your service sir!

Thanks Brent for kind words about our warriors. hope you will film a test of new polish cammo called MAPA sometime soon. Should do a much better job than WZ93 aka Forrest Panther
I'm sure eventually I'll be able to get my hands on it.
but firstly we have to wait for the MAPA to being used and (probably) sold like the WZ.93 or WZ.2010

Hopefully there will be one good for urban environment as well. I also hope to send You one as soon as possible.

Thx for this video.I have been waiting for this :) Polish camo is good in little dark forest :)
I really like all of these camo videos, most combat is thought to be over cities and urban areas, but things will get more interesting in the wooded areas :)

Good camo and great presentation, thank you.

Great video broski👍🏽..
Poland is pretty cool. It took me a few moments to find you sometimes, and I'm actually looking. A patrol that isn't alertly looking for camouflaged troops would probably not even notice.
Outstanding work !!! Thank you for your service as well .

The first time caught me, but once I saw what to look for, I found it easier and easier to pick out.
Good video pal, im from the uk and looking at different patterns at the moment. My grandad and uncle fought for Poland in WW2
Loved the war story! Amazing video, as always! :D
+Руз Болтон Thanks brother.
Thumb up for talking about polish pattern 👍
I really like this man. Awesome stuff!
This is the best "Where's Waldo" I've ever played
This dress is designed for Polish countryside(!) and not suited well in that country.
I draw your attention that in Poland is different light intensity , greens tonality and insensitivity.
Yeah if light catches him u can see him very fast. In the dark it's more of a gut feeling that draws ur eye to that spot.
Still better better than not wearing it
Here in the forests of Eastern Masovia and Southern Podlasie it fairs well on the grass amongst trees and sticks, but in high vegetation (which is popular) it's not that good. But that's why we add leaves to our uniforms.
I just purchased the Polish desert camo, but I should have watched your videos first. Where I am, there is a lot of tall tan grass, so it might be ok, but for the woods, this stuff here is the bomb. Thanks for the vids Brent!
Thanks for watching and commenting brother.
Thanks for the video, and the stories.
+Doug Parkhurst Thanks man.
this pattern is damned effective. there were just a few where i was able to spot him right away but, that was simply due to the shape of a body that can't be changed by basic camo. the video was in the recommended column of a video from "in range TV" channel that i'm subscribed to talking about the camo smocks of ww1 / ww2
i found you every single time idk if was supposed to be easy or what idk but it was easy
Got to drink with some Polish Navy guys. Don’t remember much. I had a cup of vodka that magically stayed full and got into a push up contest with their CO. Great times.

Full beton compatibility comfirmed. This one has the blessing of the order of the holy Wuzeta. But seriously I'm glad you tested it. It's kinda old but useful camo. We will probably replace it soon but it won't leave service till... I don't know it probably will stay for eternity with some units. But it sure will be missed.

awesome story really glad i clicked on this video
Good job Brent
Thanks
Great video. I saw you several times hiding. The camo pattern is good, but the dark green stands out with the N. Texas bright green vegetation. Kinda like our old BDUs did.
So in short if I was just walking in the woods minding my own business I wouldn't notice you, but if I was on a patrol looking for the enemy than I might see you.
I just look for a lump of dark green in the vegetation.
Loved the video brother. Subscribed!
Great camouflage i was able to easily spot out the darker camo based on the vegetation while you where crouched and standing and sometimes laying down, it seams its more effective whilst laying down, but giving the range you give us to spot out your camo a fire team would be well within your line of fire and easily taken care of.
Awesome camo!
Great education thank you very much this will help me when im hunting pigs in Cape York Queensland Australia 👍
Awesome! I love Poland.
Very thorough thanks
+mtower235 Thanks for watching
me and my airsoft team uses this camouflage pattern it is especially good in the fall or darker parts of the forest because of its darker nature of the camouflage it works well in certain areas but its not perfect
very effective camo, you would have got me every time
I think this is one of the best looking and most effective camos in the world.
Great video. How do you choose a place to conceal yourself? Are there some hints concerning ground contrast, sunshine/shade boundary etc?
From my expierence, best camouflage is remaining still. Camouflaged clothing helps a lot, if you choose spot with background colours matching your camouflage pattern, but most likely in one set you could find spots matching different camos. Wz.93 is effective if used rightly, but most patterns are. Overall, i came to conclussion, that camouflage is more of a skill rather than magic force of one or other pattern. And you have that skill, using hat and netting that disturbes shape of your head (one of most easily recognizable part of human body by eye), and painting your face, you blended in well. Cheers!
+Olson323 Thanks for your input brother.
In every story that includes the Polish army I've never herd a bad word about those dudes. Great video!
I seen you a lot of them, but I've lived deep in the woods all my life so I'm used to looking out for animals and snakes.
Super podoba mi się!
Wow! I'm impressed!
Great story 👍🏻
Hi
One of the first versions of this camouflage had the best colors and was highly effective at camouflaging. The spots had gaps between them and the print went to the next side of the material. Then different companies produced different color varieties, unfortunately there was no uniformity in production.
Try SG 14 model of Polish border guard.
wow it was so easy to spot you
does better then expected
