I took May off from sewing. I have a table full of sewing projects to work on. I will get back to it this weekend
I am terrible at leaving pins and safety pins in my jumper. I even found one in my dressing gown. So no pin cushion for me, just any bit of fabric on my body. x
dude im the same way 😂 I have at least 2 safety pins in every skirt and dress I own for no other reason than "thats just where I put it" 😂
I low-key love and hate mending things lol I haven't worn my favorite leggings for 2 years because I got a hole in the inner upper thigh seam. When I was in a cosplay crunch in May and had my sewing machine out, I ran my leggings under the needle with a zig-zag stretch stitch, and it took literally 3 minutes from start to finish. I can finally wear my favorite leggings again! It's a little bittersweet realizing that I could've been wearing them all this time (especially since I despise pants and only wear skirts/dresses). I'm so glad that you chose to get down to brass tacks and mend your favorite sweater so soon after it got damaged. :)
I actually did a similar repair today on some Adidas sweatpants. It was from a seam ripper "accident" to remove an unnecessary pocket.
bahaha I have made wayyy to many seam ripper "accidents", sometimes you just get going and you are in a groove and then disaster strikes!

I recently thrifted a romper but it was too short in the torso area. So I picked the seams out and made it into a little crop top. Was thinking about you having to cut seams and realized oh yeah that’s why it’s such a dread lol!

It’s so strange having grown up with parents that owned a screen printing/embroidery/signmaking company and then seeing all of those expensive industrial machines become virtually worthless because people can buy cricuts and sewing machines with super nice embroidery functionality.
