Man I love that. I am less focused on "tactical" and more on "Practical". My next build will be all around the theme of "bulletproof". Meaning the most reliable engine, trans, suspension etc that I can possibly get. Most everything I do is with the consideration that warranties and support lines may not be available soon. So I just want my vehicle to last. Forever if possible. I have not settled on a platform yet. But I am digging this M1079. Still weighing this or a truck/trailer system. There are so many pros and cons to consider for each system. Your truck, pulling a fuel tank behind it, would be a great option.
RIGHT!!!! So many things to consider, and also what I can afford. Fuel is an issue in this, but reliability is there. Simple and minimalist. But I don’t plan on going to far, or include just using it for a hauler for equipment in a SHTF scenario. Of course to adventure with as well…. Thanks for the great comment, and for watching
Cool upgrades, I worked on these as a civilian contractor for a long time. Soldiers didn't get nearly enough training on these trucks. At least in the beginning!
That is the truth!!! When they first came out, no one knew how to do anything on them… we didn’t even have the trouble shooting laptop! But I have all the manuals on it now, not hard at all, maybe expect a rebuild.. I don’t have heavy enough cranes to take it apart! It runs like a top tho. Replaced all the belts, transmission line, went through all the bolts retorqued, fluids, and more. Need to get the ether shot bottle back in, cold blooded bitch… lol thanks for watching
Todd, an awesome piece of kit. I'll be coming to Redman March of 2024. It would be nice to link up with you for a brief visit. Would you be possibly be available? Cheers, Mate.
Hey Jack!!! Thanks brother... Yeah man, let me know a date when you can, I have my anniversary weekend that month, if it doesn't fall on that, I will make it work bother.. Shoot me an e-mail and I will hook you up with better contact info. prepperup@outlook.com
