Oh, you got that Netflix partnership! Ive been watching this show it’s a fun time.
First off, Girls5eva is hysterical. But the songs are absolutely amazing too. Going back and listening to the full songs on UA-cam is like the dessert on top.
Love this show and it IS real musical.

The show is very funny and has some great performances. That said, I don't think the music sounds anything like the time period it's parodying. I can't think of a single girl group from the TRL era that sounded anything like this. It really took me out of the series for the first few episodes, but I just accepted it eventually.
I think it's an exaggerated version of the songs from that Era
As well as a nod to nostalgia not being what we think it is
We always remember things as better than they actually were 😂
It’s not accurate but that also makes it funny because they are imitating a period they wouldn’t actually be in. 😂😂😂😂
