Positive displacement pumps :-
Positive displacement pumps move a fixed volume of fluid with each cycle of operation, regardless of the system's pressure. This means that the pump moves a specific amount of fluid per revolution (or cycle), and it will continue to pump the same volume regardless of the resistance (pressure) in the system.
Non-positive displacement pumps (also known as dynamic pumps) do not deliver a fixed amount of fluid with each cycle. Instead, they operate by imparting kinetic energy to the fluid, which then flows through the system. These pumps rely on continuous flow rather than a fixed displacement of fluid.
