Watching this in 2023, laughing at the description of why we have all been staying home. In 2020 I never thought it would last for years. Beautiful work
That's really nice. Your artistic interest are right in line with mine. I too, started sewing when I was a child, with my first black singer machine, and I used to sit on my gramma's lap while she made pajamas for all kids for Christmas. Anyway lovely work. 😊
You video came up on my feed today, as I admit I’ve been watching a few slow stitching videos to see if it’s something I could try. I appreciate that you showed “how to” do the different stitches for your piece! I really enjoyed listening to you & definitely going to save your video, as a reference & for inspiration! Thank you for sharing!
Was ready to donate my jewelry making supplies, but got hooked on it again. Then I decided to round up all my sewing things- mine, my mom’s, my MNL’s, and both of my aunt’s. Then I got hooked on stitching, found slow stitching on UA-cam, then am hooked on that. Fun times. Enjoyed your video so much. You do very well demonstrating your process. I like how you create.
I love what you did. Like you I love to do so many different art work, sewing krosheing, painting, making jewellery, I don't know what I don't like. I see many different things on UA-cam and I want to try and do it all. I'll watch what you do and will look to vintage sewing items. Thank you❤ G.
I’m in the middle of working on a slow stitching piece from a kit, although I added some of my ow n embellishments. Happen to come upon your video and was just blown away by all of you ideas some of which I plan to incorporate. Best video that I’ve come across yet. Thank you.
Love your video….I’m a sewer first who has segued to quilting and beading…maybe I can use up some of the the 90 boxes of beads and 10 large containers of every kind of fabric on the planet…since I’m in my 80s and need to rest a lot, this really looks to be a lot of fun and can be relaxing…Be Blessed…
I wish I could describe the feeling I get when I think about getting my supplies out and starting to do this. It's a mix of nostalgia and I'm not sure what! Most of my childhood crafting activities involved yarn and thread of some sort... crocheting, sewing, cross-stitching, friendship bracelets. This combines that love with my love of collage. I'm so excited by this! I need to get my space organized, so I can play. I love, love, love this! Thank you :)
You are addicted to slow stitching which is brilliant.I have a far greater addiction,I am addicted to watch you all and your progress, I've got to stop watching and start doing it.xxx
Your channel came up on my suggested video list. Let's just say I fell in love... This is one of the best slow stitching projects I have seen to date. I subscribed and set the notification bell to always notify. I can't wait to discover what else you have waiting for me ❤️❤️❤️
I, also, have kept quite a few things from my past hand sewing ventures. I have a wonderful small, shallow metal tool box that I snagged at a thrift store. My plan is to turn that into my slow stitching box! I’ve also accumulated a bit of vintage sewing supplies that I’ll put in there. It’s funny - my mom asked me way back when I was collecting those things what I was going to do with them. Told her I wasn’t sure...I just liked it all. Now I know why!!! Your piece is absolutely stunning! I’m off now to get started on my box - thanks for the inspiration Gina!!!😃❤️🔆
I have just discovered you today... and slow stitching.. I am going to try this.. I am new to junk journalling as well but I see people using fabric as a cover.. and I think a slow stitched cover would be great... I just need to start somewhere... thank you
I agree, this is a fantastic teaching video. Thank you so much. I am a beginner and I am loving slow stitching but I have problems with my eye sight at the moment so I was grateful for the close up photography. well done. I am your new subbie. Blessings, Lita from South Wales UK. xx
This is so beautiful and inspiring. I am trying to get back to hand stitching. I have bought old and interesting fabrics, dresses ect for projects like this. My work needs improving but you inspire that crafty inner me, and it demands to be expressed. Thank you.
This is such a great video. It really shows what "slow stitching" is all about. I am a quilter, beader, and overall fiber junkie and I think I've discovered a new outlet for using all my "stuff". Thank you so much. I look forward to more of your videos.
This is an amazing project! I love fabric and quilting as much as paper craft but there is something very relaxing about hemming and binding by hand. I totally agree with that. TFS
Oh my gosh!! I just discovered you this morning! It’s Saturday & very cold here in Kansas & we’re still (again) in the middle of the “you know what” but now it has a new twist that got me. I’ve been a hermit for almost 2 years, only going out every 3-4 weeks to grocery shop. I had both Pfizer vaccinations but hadn’t gotten the booster. My son was evicted because he lost his job & moved in with me. He also had had the 2 vaccines & we thought we were safe. He got a new job, where they were not taking ANY protective measures, not even masks/social distancing/hand sanitizer & he almost immediately caught the new naughty one. Of course, ironically, I caught it in my own house. Two weeks later, I’m still dragging around, but have my smell & taste back. At any rate, I’m very new to slowstitching & am just now beginning work on my slow stitching journal. This series is being presented by Rachel (Roxy’s Creations) & her sister, Sarah, (Roxy’s Creations by Sarah) & it’s great fun! I’m having trouble learning the stitches, I need it presented very slowly, so I’ve been fishing around looking for help on UA-cam. Today I found you! I’m so thrilled, you’re exactly what I need! I can hardly wait to be able to add the goodies that you’re using! First however, I need to learn the stitches!! I don’t know anyone locally to even ask the silliest of questions: what is felted wool, where do you find it, is Appleton wool thread available in the US, (they are located in San Marino, Italy & Australia) or are there other types available? On Amazon I can’t really tell what things are made of, nor the quality of these items, I have bought a good selection of cotton DMC floss at our local Walmart ($.59/skein)!!!! But I would like to get some of the other kinds of thread. Kind of like you, I have held onto craft materials throughout the years, even if I thought I’d never do that thing again, so I’m lucky that way! Sorry this is so long-winded, can you tell I’m desperate for interaction?!! I enjoyed hearing your little bit of family history & your artistic journey, I think we may be similarly aged (I’m soon to be 65). Yikes, sorry if you’re still in your 40’s!! I have liked this video & have subscribed to your channel, I look forward to seeing & learning more from you! Hope you’re having a good start to this new year & stay healthy! Erica p.s. where do you live? I love your new little driftwood butterfly hanging & the calm slow description of how & why you used which stitches! Thank you for the description of your bead tray, I’m going to get that set up, too!
Have just read through others’ comments & I see that I am not alone in my feelings of gratitude for your way of teaching & sharing! Thank you soooooo much!
Wow your introduction! You described me so I think I must have found a kindred spirit. I paint watercolours, make cards , make miniatures and on and on but always get the yearning for a needle and thread in my hands. :)
I'm just now finding your channel. I so enjoyed the slow stitching. But I went to your etsy site and didn't find any fabric creations. Are you not doing stitching any more? Sad
Wow. So beautiful. I’m new to your channel and new to slow stitching. I love all the textures and colors you use. It’s a bit overwhelming just starting out so being able to watch you is so very helpful. Thank you so much and stay safe.

Lovely project, I enjoyed watching it develop. I wonder if you have tried water colour on fabric yet? I have made backgrounds for embroidery, but I'd love to know if you have made anything with watercolour, or any other paint on fabric.
