Even an insect, do not kill.Treat others as you will treat yourself. I am a Singaporean chinese Buddhist. I pray to Buddha Averlokitesvara and Guatama Buddha. Every morning, I place a cup of pure water for each Buddha and then chant Buddhist mantras and impart merits. This has helped to free me from the disturbances by spirits. Buddhist mantras liberate trapped spirits. So chanting and pray to Buddhas to help these suffering spirits is a way to accumulate merits.

I mean, my religion ain't direct Buddhism, but that chant is a huge aspect in our lives. It not only helps us redeem negative spirits but gives us the courage and confidence we need to continue to thrive. Our religion is called "Tenshō-Kōtai-Jingū-Kyō", a sect of Buddhism that focuses on purifying the soul and cleansing the heart.

Wow. Amazing story. I'm wondering if the religion he was following was Jehovah's Witnesses because it sort of sounds a lot like what I went through with my family. Being told not to go to college, not to join the Police Department ... etc. No celebrations of Holidays and Birthdays. Always being told not to do things because you will die and never make it to the Paradise. Just wondering.
I have claimed my freedom, my independence, my lifetime movie, and every single soul on this entire planet and outside, into the universe has a role in my movie, to win.
Was a christian and had poor knowledge of buddhism. Now I understand my problem is me, and we are all products of evolution, especially our soul. Either we learn to understanding emptiness or we will come back again and again, until we learn.
