Imo, the best AMVs are the ones that use good timing snd clip choices for each part while still staying relevant to the character its focused on. You did that really well here. So this is one of my favorites currently.

They were very close in the earlier loops, and it was mutual. It's just that most of the screentime is spent showing a Homura who's sacrificed everything else to spend most of her time preparing weapons for the Walpurgis fight. Every time Homura allied with Madoka they were together through the end (we see a few of those). We only see them interact with shared experiences in the first loop flashback, right after Madoka's apotheosis, and in Rebellion before Homura regains her memory. Why did she rebel? Look at the flower scene in Rebellion and the conversation on the bridge at the end. Homura is convinced that Madoka is suffering as a goddess and decided to protect her human life (3rd time's the charm...) from the shadows again (QB is a threat now, so she's actively suppressing that).
