I don’t know how this channel showed up on my recommended because she is so very, very different from me. I’m of a different race, different culture, prob almost twice her age, complete difference in home decorating, different taste in music … just so many things. But yet I am hooked and have binge watched a lot of their videos as well as a few of their moms. They are so sweet and pure and I’ve found I just really enjoy watching!
Just a teaching moment for you with the grill. I have found over the years that if when I’m finished with my grilling; if I turn the gas off at the tank, then I will never go outside to do some grilling and find that my gas has leaked out of the tank. So proud for you both. Have fun grilling. God bless
Put everything in the basement on pallets, or 2xs, or you’ll regret it when the water heater goes, or you have plumbing backup, or flood of any kind. Also, make sure you leave plenty of distance between water heater or other heat sources from any flammable items.
I was gonna say something to the effect of what the person below said about the freezer on the porch. It’s not good for them and it increases your energy bill in the summer because it has to run a lot more. Love those kind of sifters but I always had trouble with flour and stuff getting stuck between the mesh pieces and it’d just kinda came up in there and be a mess so I ended up giving mine away because I could never clean it well. I went back to my old school like flat top one you shake.
take your pictures and lean them up against the walls where you think you might want them. leave them there for a week. that will give you an idea of how they will look. it will surprise you how you will then be better able to decide if that is actually where you want them before you put a nail in the wall.
I have so much respect for you korie, You are just about the classiest young woman, as well as Katie but you, as a young woman getting married, and waiting before moving in with your handsome boyfriend, I just had to jump on here and comment this. I pray that you two just have the greatest life together!!
Nice mounts! Austin's done good harvesting some nice size bucks. My wife doesn't like them in the house cuz it's too crowded, so I hang them in the garage. I'm not the decorator but I do all the grilling. Those backstraps look excellent. Got me tempted to grill my last one in the freezer.
Yes! I bought a cook book at a Goodwill that was made by a Monrovia Church from PA. . I'm all the way down south. I make so many of those recipes even Iafter a ton of years.
😊Just a freindly heads up in case its not rated for outdoor use 😊 Cold Weather Concerns - A freezer is designed to withstand specific temperature tolerances, and the refrigerant used will have an optimal temperature range. Because the compressor is on the exterior of the unit, exceptionally cold temperatures may cause a build-up of ice or reduce the viscosity of the oils used to lubricate moving parts. Any of these may result in compressor failure or malfunction resulting in a costly repair.
King of the Hill!! My favorite! Not sure if you know but Jonathan Joss the actor that plays John Redcorn sells spices and his business is called King of the Grill!!
Corie and Austin, you have decorated your new home beautifully! You have lots of new things and also some things that have been in your families...all of of them will come in very handy! I wish you two a beautiful life together! I really love your new home. I’m sure it’s amazing to be on your on your deck looking down into the beautiful woods. Wishing you two a happy married life with everything that makes you both happy!
I have some large and smaller vintage Pyrex mixing bowls, casserole dishes, that I have collected over the years, they are gorgeous and in pristine condition. No one in my family appreciates my love of vintage and antique. I wish I could get them to you, you'd appreciate them. After I am gone, they will end up in the garbage I just know it. Breaks my heart.
Your home is Lovely. Your marbles would be so pretty in one of those glass containers they sell at Walmart with the glass lid. They come in 3 different sizes and they look like vintage candy jars from a General store. They are are in the canister isle. You supper looked so good. I just loved all your kitchen items you received and I too love church cook books.

I would be in heaven with the big porch overlooking the woods… and the grill 🤣 I love taxidermy so much my husband bought me a full coyote mount for my birthday a few years ago. Got deer, fox, raccoon and duck too, along with a display cabinet of skulls. I’ve got a bunch of deer paintings too, but here in Florida the only thing I’ve shot is fish 🤣 but I’m better with a bow than my husband.
House is looking great! The town house I use to live in years back had a tall stairwell like y’all’s. I displayed my family pictures on one side and also my daughter’s pictures she painted in school. Nothing better than having a man that knows how to grill, you are blessed Corie, but then so is Austin. Sweet couple, perfect for each other!
I have gotten some cool marbles from spray paint cans. When you finish with a can of spray paint let all of the air out and cut open the can and pour the marble out into a little cup of paint thinner to clean it off.
Just watching the two of you working together is a blessing. With Jesus as the center of your lives and marriage I believe there are many blessings for your family. The wall on the left going down to your basement would be a perfect spot to hang pictures of both families from birth till ever. Have a friend who did that and it is beautiful. As children come someday each birthday pictures would be awesome. Starting with pictures of ya'll first. God bless and keep you.
It’s so sweet seeing y’all setting up house. I think everyone who has been married for a long time can remember their first house and getting it ready to live in. Bless you and Austin with many happy years in this home.
Isn't it just the greatest blessing to be with the love of your life and combining all your loves into one space!! Continued blessings from our God most high!
I just wonder if people think, like I do, that Corie looks like Kyra Sedgwick? I've been racking my brain to figure out who she reminded me of and it finally came to me!
I love the brown casserole dish! Brings back memories. Your house is adorable. I just had my 28th anniversary and it feels like yesterday I set up my first house. You are living in a special time in your life. I pray you have a blessed long and happy marriage!
I had the most adorable frog sponge holder that a good friend and co-worker handmade and painted for me many years ago. It sat on the corner of my kitchen sink for 25 years until I accidentally knocked it off while cleaning one day. I literally cried when I saw my little friend in a million pieces!! Haven't been able to find a suitable replacement, but I'm still looking! Love your little built-in bookshelf next to the beautiful fireplace - such a sweet little reading nook. Your home is coming together so nicely. I enjoy seeing you both so excited and happy!! Love and Blessings to you both...
Austin missed the lesson at UGA on picture hanging. The vertical center (the middle of the frame) is 57" (inches) above the floor, or at your eye-level if it's in a hallway or entryway where you're usually walking past it. That goes for single pieces (photos, paintings, posters) as well as arrangements like gallery walls.
It's nice to see someone else is still trying to repack Christmas .My husband just took our bare tree down today but we've been working for weeks trying to wrap all the ornaments up. We have so much cause we've been married for over 20 yrs. I always keep my ornaments in those plastic containers and bubblewrap the delicate ones.I don't think I'll put them all out next year but this year I wanted to go all out. It's just to much work. Our snow storm just set us back but now finally it'll all go up hopefully before Valentines Day.
If you haven't sorted out storage space for the staircase, use the stairs, you can Google ideas from ppl doing this, or build a shelf going all the way up or have way up from top or bottom I have stairs going 3 floors up and my shelf is at the top floor kitchen slash dining slash tv room all open looks great just have all our nic-naks on photos my greenstone block
Morning Corie and Austin. Today I've enjoyed seeing you work together in setting up your home. Now I'd like to teach you some Australian English. English is our main language but we have allowed so many immigrants to settle after The Second World War ( WW2 ) that many people speak their own plus English. Firstly what you call a " grill " , we call a " bar - be - que " .The whole unit with a 9 litre bottle of Propane gas and the side burner is a " bar - be - que. ". We do grill some meat by placing it under an electric element. We run most of our cars on " Petrol " but we also have cars that run on " gas " and " electricy ". We call that a " hibred " . When it comes to cars, what you call the " hood " we call the " bonnet " and the " trunk " is called the " boot ". We have a " windscreen " and you have a " windshield." And we drive a " car " not a " sedan " and a " ute " which is short for " utility truck " , not a " pickup ". Because we have had many of your films, records and T.V. shows here for years we understand many of your words and know a lot of your History. Brisbane ( pronounced Brisbin .) Which is the capital city of the State of Queensland, is hosting the Summer Olympics In ten years time in 2032. That's on the East Coast if you are looking at a map. I would love to set on your porch and watch all the animals. I love birds, I bet you will see all colors. We have wood peckers here in Florida and they can get loud, but I don’t mind at all. Yum that all looks fantastic,God bless
Looks like a nice peaceful home. I remember my first house. I was there about 12 years before moving on to a larger place because my kids were growing and needed more space. But I did love that house and I have great memories of it. Even now every so often, I will drive by to see it when I'm in the area. It always brings a flood of great memories of my kids when they were little and a beautiful black Labrador we had back then. Looks like you've already started making memories of your own
I remember our first apartment and arranging everything. So exciting. Your grill is awesome you all. For best results rub a paper towel dipped in vegetable oil over the hot grates before putting the food on. It helps prevent sticking. You all have a blessed future. 🌹
Corie, your house is turning into a beautiful home!!! And I love how you and Austin compliment each other and ask each other's opinion too. Communication is so important, and I think you and Austin are doing a great job at that. :) Everything looked delicious! I was thanking God multiple times during this video for His goodness towards ya'll! May He continue to bless and keep you!
Hey guys I saw that deer come in from the left at about the 4:16 mark. Awesome! I see you have some neighbors but they are too close? Reason I ask is I was wondering how much property you got with your home because I'm looking at coming into Murphy and probably get a small cabin in Whispering Hills area. Do you know anything about that location at all? I think the building sites are variable and I'm looking at one acre. Probably not big enough to hunt with neighbors nearby and the HOA. I just need to get out of these frigid Minnesota winters that seem to last six months twice a year 😉
Your house is coming along nicely!! I have a fairly narrow stairwell. It goes all the way to the rafters on the opposite of the second story like yours does. I use my staircase walls for photos. I have photos of my three siblings and me as babies in a group. I have a grouping of all of our wedding pictures. I have a black and white grouping of mom and dad from before they got married. It isn’t a storage solution but they are all photos that I love and it brings me a great amount of joy to see them daily. Plus they don’t take up a lot of room in a narrow stairwell. Thanks for taking us along. God bless you 🙏🏼
Your house is beautiful. One thing though and my opinion don't get crazy with all the deer heads. Put something up for you dear. Congrats on everything.
Yaw have a beautiful home!!! And it's so ideal for yaw and your family!!! GOD is good!!!! And that sifter is from an old school design!!! I have a crank one now, but my stepmom had one like that with a wuder handle and a litttle smaller that she kept in her flour canister (those were retro too with a bread box as well. Miss those!) Be on the look out at thrift stores for old fashioned kitchen tools. They get discarded so much now, and sadly, I lost mine during a move . And I love that "King of the Hill" reference!! *duadangomdangumdibbitdo ona thadooandatbumgrillanbapdom (Baumhower was my and my stepdad's fav!!) And as long as it works well, don't matter how cheap it is!!! Awesome grill!!!
I know I'm late to this video but wanted to say you have a lovely home I'm so happy for you both. I loved all the deer pictures but especially the one you said you both picked out it is so beautiful if you wanted to have a little light to accent it over the top that would make it really stand out I don't know exactly what kind of little light you would put across the top I can see it in my head though lol only thing I can think to call it is a accent light they give off such a soft light and some you don't even have to do anything to get them to work because of being battery operated and they last a long time because of them being led lights. God Bless 🙏
Thanks for pointing that out. I grew up in South Texas and although I love language and love regional language (her mom covers a lot of cool language stuff), sometimes I've just heard stuff so much I don't realize it's not what everyone says.
Your house is so great! So roomy and so many possibilities when decorating. Are you putting rubberbacked curtains on your livingroom windows? I noticed such a difference in how cozy my livingroom looked and so much warmer in winter and kept the room cooler in summer. I did the same in the bedrooms. It's so exciting furnishing and decorating your first home. You guys are very blessed to have such a nice first house! The property is beautiful too. Love your channel and look forward to many more.
@@thepressleygirls You can actually find them at Walmart or online. They're not a true rubber backing, but feels like it. They are great insulators. By the way, I just watched the Thrift Store video. You all got some great stuff, and that steak at Longhorns had me drooling. Guess I'll have to settle for my ham, pinto beans and cornbread. Keep safe guys.
Your views are spectacular near your new home. I wish you only happiness both of you and may God bless you. Your home is lovely. If you ever drive to upstate New York never hesitate to contact me. God Bless 🙏
Youll are such a sweet couple
Thank you 😁
Such a southern thing to say you're "putting up" the tree whether you are putting it up or taking it down! Your house is so adorable!
Thanks for pointing that out. I grew up in South Texas and although I love language and love regional language (her mom covers a lot of cool language stuff), sometimes I've just heard stuff so much I don't realize it's not what everyone says.
Your home is looking cozy! Thank you for sharing! ❤️😊
I was hankerin' after the name of that show but couldn't come up with it
Your house is so great!
I’ve never heard of those, good idea, thanks for watching! :)
🙂

Your views are spectacular near your new home. I wish you only happiness both of you and may God bless you. Your home is lovely. If you ever drive to upstate New York never hesitate to contact me. I’m very close to Vermont and not far from Canada. We have the Alpine Homestead Bed and Breakfast. Lots of love from upstate New York
That would be fun, thanks for watching! ☺️
Ohmygoodness I have that same mug..the drippy blue and brown one. It is my favorite mug because the shape is so nice and it keeps my tea the perfect temperature longer than a straight sided one!
That’s awesome!
Your house is looking wonderful ! God bless
