Hey nice bike and nice vid!
It was good to meet you at chainline the other day also. I appreciated the insight on pq.
If you’re doing another group ride soon (emtb friendly), I’d like to get in on it.

Nice meeting you, too! I'm hoping to do another one once it cools off again.

Great video! You really love those Kona bikes 🤙🏽. Great pricing too!
What’s that trail in the last part of your review?

Thanks! Kona is definitely my go to from now on. That last trail is Camino Canada in Crest.

We did not get the 2022 models in DENMARK this year… (guessing supply issues) so hoping for 2023… maby that will come with Bosch motor and shimano gears then it would be perfect for me…
And a 700wh battery would be nice.
What is the wh on the 2022?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  2 роки тому

The 2022 has a 504Wh battery. The 700Wh would be nice!

The two bikes I can find in my size right now in San Diego are a 2021 Kona Remote 160 DL for $5500 or a Turbo Levo Alloy Comp for $7,500. In your opinion is the Turbo Levo worth it with the larger battery? Thank you!

That's tough. I haven't gone through my entire battery yet, but I think I could if I were to make a day of it. My ebike is kind of reserved for solo rides and rides where I have limited time and want to get a few more laps in. I would see if you can ride them each, even if it's just around the parking lot, and see which one you like best. Also, if you haven't already, check out Chainline in El Cajon. The last time I was in, they had several ebikes in stock.

@@MTBTrailReview Nice thank you and my plan is to test ride this week. I'm really not a fan of the color scheme on the Kona but for 2K less I could probably live with it. Oh nice, I'll check out Chainline thank you!

Nice..but you stated you weren’t happy with the suspension being equal compared to your “analog” bike, what exactly you comparing to? rock shox 35 Sektor to Fox 36? Fox performance to lyrik?

The Remote 160 comes with a RockShox Gold RL up front and a RockShox Select+ in the rear. Neither of these are bad, but there is a noticeable difference when compared to the Pike Ultimate up front and the Super Deluxe Ultimate in the rear on my Process 134.

Should have gone with the 2021....way better spec. Seems like they really skimped out on the 2022

  • @srrtbb

2021 model was an amazing kitted. 2021 components was horrible and cost the same.
Kona always hit and missed a lot from time to time.

Agreed. They could have done a lot better with the build.

@@MTBTrailReview especially for that price! I noticed some previous year models has an amazing component and other year not so much!
Ps. I'm currently looking something else or upgrade from my current 2015 153 process !
