Marvel Whale Force. They just need to officially change the name.
This was my "breaking point" where I just straight up told my alliance "I'm not doing it. I'll get them when they're farmable." If they want to boot me for not being able to hit those nodes, that's fine. If they're that concerned with it, they can whale out and do those nodes, but I'm not doing it. I'm not gonna be spending like $300 every time a new team is released just to be able to do content.
It’s becoming pay to win, that’s what it boils down to in the trend we are seeing.
I want to believe they know what they are doing. Pressing people to pay more might get their sales up in the short term, but in the ling run, it’ll burnout the dolphins, while F2P player will just be the same or less engaging, and there’s some research I remembered at the back of my mind which found that, while game stay afloat by the whale’s spending, but without F2P & dolphins, the whales will also leave when they are mainly competing against each other. Whales need to have F2P and dolphins to feel that they are special. Something of that sort iirc.

But, you're right I mean we are seeing more and more instances of pay to play or pay to win and its getting a bit gross.
I’m going in on alpha flight anyways because I want more raid points for more red gear orbs so that’s really the only reason. Any other reason, diamonds or whatever can piss off. It’s pointless getting diamonds on these characters when 7 starring them is 6 months out if your a free, low or mid spender.

It's pointless to have an unlock event that rewards you for having a 7star of new character with increased chance to reach last whalestone that rewards 30 stars of that new character...but they do it.
For the first time since I started this game which was years ago, I think I began 6 months after game launched, I didn't log in all weekend. I even missed free claim friday for the first time because I was so burned out on this game. I finally logged in this morning and have come to the conclusion that I will be a minimalist on this game now. I used to buy the passes and spend anywhere between $20-$40 each week but now I will be officially f2p from now on and not care if I get my plays in everyday like I used to. I will continue to watch your videos and take advice from you. But I will not be as committed to this game like I used to be. Anyway, this is my first comment to you and I thought you should know how an OG player is feeling after all these years and how I feel going forward about this game. Keep up the great work and look forward to the next vlog.
Just as I was starting to halfway enjoy MSF again. I won't actually pay money for anything here so I won't even worry about Alpha Force but if this trend continues 6 years gone.

The f2p in my alliance will not buy no matter what. The spenders were going to buy it no matter what. That’s just in my alliance, we’re splitting the teams so hopefully there will be at least one full alpha flight per lane
Doesn’t matter if you unlock them. The resources needed to have them viable is astronomical.
Alpha flight? Well you could run D0 thats scaled to G16 85

Are we going to have the same problem where you see the percentage of getting nor star will increase near the end of the event
"it would be awful at 3 or less" - 3 shards per energy confirmed. I forget the numbers off hand, but if I recall it puts a 200 core per day player at the monthly item and halfway to the next milestone for 15 North Star shards. I don't like it, but they've made that play in the past

You get those fragments from Greek raids too.
Making it the raid orb frags is the only way this will be remotely fair to all players. Not every alliance is able to run the spotlight raids and if it only credit for completing those nodes, then some alliances will not be a part of this event.
That would be much better. The datamine doesn't seem to suggest this though? But, I agree this would be the better approach! The datamine specifically calls out spotlight raid NODES, not fragments. Unfortunately CMs dont recognize datamines, but when this is made "private" to us I will raise this.

Rare opinion, this event is OK w/ me. Pur alliance has our 12ppl buying Sassquatch day 1, so we're good to go

There is a leaderboard attached for spending campaign energy. Lately, it seems they like to balance those around players who hoard campaign energy. So I am suspicious the orbs frags ratio isn’t going to be the best.

Why can't they even get the title of a holiday right? Really just seems disrespectful when I'm sure it was just laziness.
I hate the game for free 2 play players. I spend, but limit it to new characters and decent battle passes, but these days that is way more than enough. I got stuck a long time ago and can't hoard cores effectively.
I started playing at release, hurried to level playing all I could, got placed with other day 1 accounts in my arena shard. Then I took a 6 months break in the game. Worst idea ever. By the time I came back catching up to the top of my arena is virtually impossible, even years later now without insane spending. So I get stuck paying for a large chunk of characters, but that's ok with me. I'm grown, have a decent job, and this is my only real hobby that costs anything. Unfortunately that isn't the case for everyone. Huge respect for those that can keep up without spending. Y'all are the real heroes.

People that pay should get more benefits than ftp
The Spotlight raid is making people leave alliances that spend money on this game or new toon releases. It also making people leaderboard hungry for top 50-100 rewards in both War/Raids.
@@gutterspeak the amount of money they spent on the game makes sense for them to seek Top 10-30 leaderboard alliances. i don't blame them and they can do whatever they want with their account. they are supporting the game and they can play how they want. it's nice to meet these type of players and they want to experience something new is all. There is drama with some alliances kicking F2P for whales and krakens but that is another issue out of control and nothing anyone can do about it.
