That riff drives me crazy because it's a gallop then single note and back to gallop and single note again and again! Haha!! I literally had to practice it for 15 minutes slowly, just to create that muscle memory. I learned how to play this song 31 years ago, so I think my brain and fingers were like, "Bro, we totally remember playing this as a kid!" Hahaha!
I actually run through this one and spirit in black before I start on my own stuff.... always fun. I actually start off playing through the first 6 songs on Morbid Angel's Covenant so that by the time I hit these, it's like nothing to play. Another good challenge is to play Behind the Crooked Cross..... downpicked, all the way through..... after all that, you're a total rhythm machine and everything is in slow motion lol. What are some others oldies you like to play? It's so funny to call these oldies.......
No way! That's sick that you play that many songs as a warm-up but it makes sense! Now I have to try Crooked Cross and Spirit in Black!!! You are the man!
@@louistorres Well, when you're old and tryin to get back to where ya were years ago, ya gotta put in the extra work, especially since I want to start doing what all you guitar guys do, and not embarrass myself in the process lol. Besides, it's really only about 35 mins and I'm not a lead player so I'm good to go after that. Plus, I've really gotten back into playing all those old songs again because they are such a challenge and when you feel it starting to "click" again, it inspires you to keep going.....
I would need a week to try and learn them again but when Seasons launched, I learned both solos to War Ensemble. Shockingly enough, they're actually fairly easy.
Great album to jam along with. Sounds good 🤘🤘
Thanks brother! Such a great album with fun songs and riffs throughout.
Loving these slayer shorts bro! Keep ‘‘em coming!
Thanks brother! I haven't played these songs in thirty years! Hahaha! I'm sloppy as heck but it's fun to play them again! :)
Awesome dude! 🤘
That riff on the 3rd fret is pretty tough. Sounding good \m/

@@louistorres same thing for me. I could play it back in high school. Today I can’t. I’d have to practice it a lot to get it down.

Thanks bro! Guys are like, "do you know any songs?" Haha! So now I'm trying to relearn old songs I knew thirty years ago. Lol!
