When I'm older, I want to get a tattoo that describes this song. it's gonna have a car radio that says '3AM' and through the car windshield you can see a road sign that say 'Rest Stop - 3 miles'.
Similar situation happened to me. I met a girl, we were driving across town, and in the middle of the ride she realized she didn't want to hang around me anymore. Kicked me out on the side of the freeway. Oddly enough, it was a few miles from a rest stop.

Sadly I watched a man go through what this song sings about, 24yrs. ago. He came to me very broken after his fiancé called off their wedding. This song resonated both anger within him, as well as a deep sadness that may have haunted him all his life . He was a phenomenal musician & songwriter himself but always appreciated good music, & often played it when it touched his soul.. including this one. I fell very hard in love with him instantly but it wasn’t to be. Continents & circumstances divided us, & he had to head back home. But he was the most incredible, amazing soul I was blessed to have known in this life. I miss his presence like the sun! He remains the love of my lifetime, carried forever in my heart. Only recently he just passed on, waaay too soon, leaving me with a gaping chasm of pain, far too deep & wide to measure. At the least I now know for sure, he is no longer sad. I think the point is rather that she finally realized the relationship was doomed because she wasn't invested. The reason she HAS to stop Right Then to boot him out is because she might otherwise just keep coasting in something easy, not something that was right. Not only does it tell such a great story, but that melody is just out of this world catchy, dark and deep. Credit always should get what it deserves no matter what type of music you are into.

I like stoner metal like corrosion of conformity, clutch, down, stuff like that. But I also love stripped down acoustic guitar music and I learned how to play this song, I love it so much! It was very difficult for me, in the beginning of learning it to play and sing it at the same time. But I eventually got it and I love playing it! It's a great song and this is a great version of it.
