I feel like sometimes I am watching commentary on ancient greek play performances, except that the critics aren't sure whether the play is a tragedy or a comedy, sometimes even after the play is over. The question is for us fans, essentially whether the critics think that Freeman is actually a player in the drama, or the writer. If he's a player, well, then who the hell knows what will happen. If he really IS the author there is still a chance we get at least as far as the end of November. Of course, a player who _thinks_ he is the author but is only a player in someone else's play, is the nature of so much of our history. Fans are impatient but inchoate, while the media doesn't know. that might have been bmo's worst game in an ND jersey he let thrash get open in the endzone for the first TD & was constantly getting beat to the spot. it was like him & plummer were in their own backyard playing catch
If they lose this game its the beginning of the end for Marcus Freeman because this is similar to Gerry Faust ,Bob Davie ,Tyrone Willingham, And Charlie Weiss, Marcus Freeman is getting close to be the next one on that list I hope im wrong but he has to be more consistent as head coach with his messaging to the players hes to up and down! I like the Texas a&m Marcus freeman and the pissed off freeman he coaches better that way
MF is closer to Tyrone Willingham. Black coaches only receive 3 years with one arm tied behind their back. There is no full control of the team. Gerry Faust is the worst coach ever followed by Charlie Weis. CW won with TW well coached players for 2 years. TW didn't get the opportunity to complete the job. CW went down hill fast after those well coach TW players left the program. Bob Davie was not ready and should not have been hired considering the coaching options after LH.

It doesn`t matter what anyone says, all of these experts are infatuated with Leonard, even thou he can`t throw. If he`s the best we have out of all these QB`s, then what does that say about Marcus Freeman?
After watching Army and Navy play this year, I have to say both of those games make me nervous. Those are two very efficient offenses. ND will need to be able to score plenty of points to beat both of those teams. They both could have very good W-L records and I think they both will. Navy already has had an impressive win over Memphis, a team many predicted to be the likely representative of the Group of Five in this year's playoffs. They will not be pushovers.
