Man.... 3:22 is brutal, I can tell you from the tendy perspective having a puck pop out of the glove with so much action in front is nothing but raw panic. He stood on his head, it wasn't for a lack of great chances, I'm sure he had puck sized holes everywhere his next skate haha happens to me all the time. I always feel the slightest dread as a tendy every time you cut in the bench cam, it's like oh no, puck is about to go in against you guys AND I have to squint hahaha. As for the pressure down low at 5:13 the best advice I have is skating in an arc that puts you between the player and the net forcing a pass along the boards to the open D at the point but part of your arc is building momentum to chase the puck to the point, this buys team time to get in better position and funnels the shot into traffic reducing the chance of it getting thru if that makes sense.
Thanks man! Yah right before the goal I was hanging too low and I overcompensated and honestly had no idea how to handle him chilling in that corner. I never see that play in our lower levels. I will keep your advice in mind for sure!
@@yoslimbo He scored on basically zero angle really not much you can do there but hope to force a pass away from pressure, at the same time the tendy needs to push off the far post and seal the near post when the puck goes behind the net, shooter was clearly looking at the net and not the point for a pass but when he pushed across he ended up like a foot from the post.
Even though the score was 5-0 you guys had a good game that goalie definitely robbed a bank worth of goals. You had a nice shot, good placement at 6:37 could've went through the hole from goalie's butterfly. I can be wrong as it's only snippets, but one thing I would think about is your passing. It looks like the majority passes you do are saucer passes or attempted saucers. examples at 7:14, you get some air and make it wobble and bounce off your partners stick when reaching. 9:16 there was no opposition could have set a one timer if the puck was flush to the ice or give them more control to set someone else up. and 6:50 even though it didn't lift much and didn't affect the play could have gotten air and fumble the play. It could be a habit to twist your wrist when passing, if you think so as well focus on hard but flat passes, even if your teammates fumble them they will also get better at receiving and reacting to fast pucks in general. Obviously saucer passes are important but on a case by case situation. again though I can be wrong, you know your play the most.
