This is an amazing show and I highly recommend
I know the decisions of Kate are brought up to a "controversial topic", having people saying she put herself in that position, but she didn't! Groomers are experts at seeing a vulnerable girl or guy and manipulating them into believing they are special and that they can forever trust them. Although they both know it was wrong, Martin, as an adult, should've done the right thing as soon as possible.
