- Shri Mataji describes her childhood and remarkable father who took her, aged 7, to meet Mahatma Gandhi. Recognizing her spiritual depths he asked the little girl to stay at his ashram and often consulted her on profound matters.
She and her family were deeply committed to the freedom movement and endured great hardships. After Independence her father was the only Christian to be elected to the Central Assembly. Shri Mataji studied medicine and married Sir C.P. Srivastava.
