The soul searching truth taught to me in this song which is so deep is and lots of folks are gathered there with the friends I knew. so deep I think of my friends
There are no words i can find to accurately describe Sissel. Her "instrument" is like none other! Really an angel among us. On the other hand, I feel this incredible song being sung by Alex Boye can not be compared by anyone else. I really feel this song is meant to be sung by Boye. Im very torn here. They both sang this song at the Mormon Tabernacle. Separately, though. What would be truly magnificent if they both actually did a duet together. A little history of this song: Czech composer Antonin Dvorak's Symphony no. 9-specifically the Largo movement was composed in 1893. The lyrics of the song were written later by William Arms Fisher, who was one of Dvorak's students in 1922. The Largo was performed at the funerals of presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Gerald Ford. As it is now, yes, my last wish would be to have this song sung at my going home ceremony.
ua-cam.com/video/EFe84U__kt8/v-deo.htmlsi=vJZwQ7BE1-3DZlb2 I disagree with your a opinion of Sissel!! She is an amazing vocalist! The link I posted here shows off her amazing talent! Alex and Sissel never actually sang this song together but I love how they’ve been blended together. Listen to each of these two artist, sing this song as a solo because they both are amazing and their ability to convey the message of this beautiful piece of music. Together however, they make the song a powerful and moving piece! I played this version over and over for my mother during the her last days before her passing! It was the song that was playing when she drew her last breath! I will always be grateful for the comfort and peace it offered my mom and I as she passed from this life to the next! Thank you for your talent Sissel and Alex and to the gentleman who edited these two great singers together! Bless you all!!
There is a version of this with just Mr Boye, and it is superior to this. This woman Sissel absolutely ruins the performance. She's unlistenable, she sings like a cat in heat.
Wonderful Sissesentation. Thank you Sissel and the Morman Tabernacle Choir. Happy to be listening to listening to this before I die.
So lovely guys. You're directing our thoughts toward the Eternal in a good way.
I wonder if Sissel & Alex remember doing this duet together -- probably in Spirit only. Beautiful work of editing !!😍🥰
