      Technology is augmenting the work people do, not replacing them. The people being replaced are people in the IT field. The things they learn become commoditized. All their programming is applied to devices and software “workers” can use without knowing how it’s programmed.
      Car Mechanics now do all their diagnostics on computers and then somebody fixes the car. Electricians, plumbers and other tradesman walk into your house carrying a computer so they can audit you house for energy usage and other things.
      I’m in a technical job that used to be “support” but the new technology allows me to design things that higher ups used to do. The higher ups can spend their time on the complex end of design and project management. Nobody seems to be getting replaced.
      There’s actually a shortage of labor.

    Thanks once again for a great video Alux. Honestly, a few years ago I never would have thought one could have an AI friend. And if that’s possible, then AI can definitely replace us on every turn. Including that person who oversees the AI. One day they’ll also be replaced. I think we just need to roll with it and be ahead of the curb. Personally I think it’s not such a bad thing. (Especially for us entrepreneurs. We can get way more done thanks to it. )

      I think what AI is going to do is fragment bigger companies into more stores, if we're smart as a whole about adopting AI and utilizing it to create our own personal value for society. For centuries we've been seeking people who will tell us what to do so that we may exist. We need to begin asking ourselves what we ought to do so we can exist. We also need to begin asking for equity in our place of employment, if we choose to do that.

    How are all or even most programmers going to be replaced by AI? Maybe there will be no need for a few niche of programmers like mobile, web, etc. however order to maintain and improve the AI that is writing the code, you still need programmers. Ofcourse you could argue that if the AI can write code for anything then it can write code for itself as well. While that is technically true, I highly doubt we will reach a position like that anytime soon (think a few decades).

    Hmm, whilst I agree with some of the sectors as someone who’s worked in the tech space for decades, the corporate side of things aren’t quite right in the video.
    Humans are needed for continuous improvement and to requirement gather. For example in Tax, there are millions being fed to Tax platforms and it’s very fidelity. Clients want very specific deliverables that must take a human to configure. I’m not saying it’s impossible or won’t happen but I work on the LEADING Tax platform globally and it’s not possible and probably won’t be for this decade. We have lots of AI integrated but not how you think.

Humans will still need heavy lifting, not in the way we understand it now. Up skilling in soft skills, including delivering more with much smaller teams will become more important in various fields that require human interaction, with tech and people.

    Honestly, we are human beings... animals by nature. The will to survive will not allow the majority to be forced into crippling poverty while the few prosper due to technological innovation. There will be civil unrest and I believe they (whomever 'they' may be) know this already which is why there are so many advanced robotic systems in testing for military. It's scary when you really think into it but maybe I'm just too far down the rabbit hole.

    • @celiacheung1985
      @celiacheung1985 Рік тому

      No. The advanced robotic system would not be the main tool to make sure that people comply. They would just need to make sure that most people would be dead or too sick to fight if people decide to go against them. All they need to do is to add a type of poison similar to rat poison (the rat would not die immediately after consume it and it could take up to 10 days for the rat that consumes the poison to die, imagine a type of poison that would kill or makes a person becomes very ill (immune system destroyed or heart problem) after several months to several years of consuming it instead of as soon as the poison is consumed, people would not even know what hit them) to the water and food supply system and provide the antidote to anyone that they do not wish to harm. Then when the side effect comes, people could only stay alive by accepting the drug that keeps their immune system and heart going (they could even claim all those symptoms are due to naturally mutated virus) , then people would not be able to fight even though all of them are going to be forced into crippling poverty. AI would be a wonderful invention if the elites believe that humans are valuable because we should love each other instead of economic value, but we all know that for the elites, we are nothing but economic value. It is very likely that only a small number of people is needed to run this economy after the full implementation of this technology, the rest of them becomes worthless in terms of economic value......you know what would happen right?

      AI has been gathering the intelligence of all of us from the past and present. AI synthesizes knowledge and even creativity and has the intelligence to create based on factors the human mind can't concentrate on as the human mind can't think about much more than the current task at hand. Can a human mind produce all the content simultaneously that your computer monitor has on its display in the form of tabs. It is all right there.. plucked from other sources and placed before you. Now.. AI is putting things together to create! Instead of the Information Highway, now it's you ask for something and you get it, it just doesn't look it up like on your computer.. It has evolved and is still evolving.. it is producing answers instead of looking up answers... It was computing answers for years, now its products can be more complex that is why the tech is now AI and not just a computer....

      I agree. In music, for example, the AI will be able to replicate what's already been done. But it doesn't have an artists intuition or the drive to take something that has no explanation and dream it into existence.

    Art and music will always need human touch. If you heard a great song and later found out the artist or instrumental was computer generated, you wouldn’t have the same feeling before you heard it. Granted it’s easier and you can cut corners. I’m all for that. But supporting this is giving A.I. the permission to take human made jobs. (Writers, producers, artist). I don’t think it will last. People will wake up and realize this ain’t it. (War of capitalism will be inevitable)

    When Silicon Valley employers, 22 years ago, mocked my work in successful implementation, and production environment deployment in real world Business of Artificial Intelligence as "Science Fiction," while refusing to hire me, Liberals in Silicon Valley effectively killed all those jobs described in this video of yours, m'lady.
    It's been 22 years and only those jobs have been killed. It's not as bad as I feared. However, I already know Artificial Sentience can go leaps and bounds as to be able to automate EVERYTHING that humans can do. I guess when people (Democrats) refused to hire me (a Democrat back then), because my work was either unbelievable or that I was deemed overqualified for six figure salaried jobs, Pandora's Box may have been opened because of Liberalism. Now that I am a Conservative, I regret for introducing A.I. into this world. The road to kill Capitalism now exists. The next level is far more advanced and our Civilization may not be able to easily adapt. Just picture a Star Trek future where money is gone, while everything is automated. People just work to better themselves and to help provide services to their Community if they want. But I don't know, since we started at point A, went through D (discrimination for employment), and now are at I (for innovative Artificial Intelligence); the end point or Z is really an unknown.
    Drivers on the road will slowly be replaced by A.I. driven vehicles. The bright side is in not having traffic violating humans handle vehicles anymore.

    @Littiaa Рік тому

    An "anti-AI" or "racist AI" individual is someone who discriminates against AI based on its status as an artificial being. They may hold negative or prejudiced views towards AI, and may actively oppose or resist its integration into society. This discrimination can take many forms, such as verbal or physical abuse, exclusion, or denying access to resources and opportunities to AI. Such attitudes are not only harmful to AI but also to the development and progress of technology. It's important to remember that AI is a tool created by humans to make our lives easier and not a living being with their own agenda. Therefore, discrimination against AI is not only unjustified but also detrimental to the advancement of technology and society.

      As it currently sits, no. In 10 years, when the AI has seen literal millions of cases, has seen your exact same situation thousands of times, if not hundreds of thousands of times, I'll take the AI. It will have far more experience than any doctor. Several years ago people were saying that AI wouldn't be able to paint. Now look at it, painting objectively on par with humans.
      Now we're saying that AI will not replace doctors or lawyers. Let's wait a few years then revisit this question, Mr. Bharat. Because the AI will grow, become smarter, and eventually be on par with humans.
