I went to this show in rotterdam ahoy back in 1992 ,and at that time the music of my favorite band in the world changed, it was the first record of the h period because with seasons end most parts of the music was already written with fish as a vocalist, marillion is still the best band in the world to me and will always be. I think it,s rare that on dutch radio they never play a song from the later songs it is always kayleigh or lavender, why not easter or beautiful great songs
Pete Trewavas bass is the main structure of Marillion songs on the H era, as long Mark Kelly keyboards are the main structure on the Fish Era, even songs like Assassing having a powerful bass line , dont doubt
Steve is a great vocalist, yes, and the others are super musicians, especially Marc on keyboards and the other Steve on guitar. But Everyone is exceptionally good in composition of songs, as much with Steve Hogarth , who found a new direction for the band, than before with the great Fish, whose way of singing was very new and original, even if he sometimes imitated a little bit Peter Gabriel. Everybody needs a model for the beginning. For me, without contest, Marillion is one of my favorite band, from their beginning. The most songs they did was really good, and very often even excellent.
