Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a great week 😊 I got absolutely stuffed filming this video.. completely my mistake for buying a stupid amount of a certain seafood 😂I managed to finish most of it though! Please don't hate me too much in the comments, I won't make this mistake again! 😅 Hope you enjoy the video, looking forward to reading your funny comments. What is your favourite seafood? Let me know down below! Much love 💖
hahahaha...you should consider trying bit by bit..and avoid rice bfo u start food vlog..gonna make u eat loads without getting stuffed..nice video mate
Lapu-lapu tastes great especially when steamed. Eating at a local carinderia would just cost about ₱50 per viand. I think three people could eat half a kilo of fish (with rice) and they would be full. You should have taken the leftovers and given them away or eaten later.
Kilawin is just like ceviche and please be reminded that our level or spicy is just low.. so when we say spicy, it is not as spicy as the korean lever or thailand level of spice..
in Philippines, if you have many clean left overs, you can ask the waiters to repack it “for take out”.. you can consume it in your house or give it to others. or give it to street children. …it is perfectly normal to ask it to the waiters ..majority of filipinos do this.
As a Pinoy vlogger myself, I appreciate these foreign vloggers interacting with the locals a lot, compared to some foreign vloggers who doesn't, enjoy our country Josh and stay safe!
how will he enjoy his stay in our country if our government officials are corrupt. and we also have an incompetent leaders like duterte and marcos as to why we are still a third world country 🤭🤭🤭
Your videos are entertaining and engaging, showcasing your articulate communication skills. With such qualities, you're on the path to reaching 10k subscribers, Josh!
I gotta say, you and Conner are amazing vloggers! It’s awesome you went to a dampa style place. And so happy you love seafood as well! That’s my absolute favorite market and way to eat 🤤 😋 Can’t wait for the next adventure! Mabuhay!
The guy who told you you got scammed is trippin'. The price you paid for shrimp was fair. It's usually 500-600/kg in Manila and cheaper in the provinces but not by a lot. No one sells shrimp for 50 pesos lmao
The seafood you bought was good for 10 people, not two. I was at Dampa about 7 years ago and it was a lot cheaper. But even these days, the cost is relatively cheaper than what you will pay for at a restaurant.
It was mainly the stupid squid purchase that made it too much, if I'd bought much less squid then I could have easily finished it all myself 😊 How much would this have cost 7 years ago?
calamari looks delicious ..the tenticles are the best part , when you were eating my god, im eating my fish and chips hehehe .. wonder if they can make fish in chips beer battered hehe.. thanks for making us hungry again..
You can take extra food home when you don't finish it, here in the Philippines it's okay, just tell the waiter, "please wrap it because I can't finish it, thank you"
@@TheJourneyofJosh You can’t get rid of me now can you? And even if i intend to stick around thank you very much ☺️ Will watch subscribers go up to 50k (just for a start, baby steps ☺️❤️)

Binge watching you vlogs and I liked how you interact with the locals ❤ I heard your next destination is Cebu. As a solo backpacker in the country I highly recommend you to visit Moalboal before Canyoneering and swim with the thousands of sardines and then visit one of the most beautiful and laidback island at the northern part of Cebu called Bantayan island.
Knowing now that you're used to eating tuna raw, the tuna kinilaw would have been a perfect dish for you to try. It is like ceviche but with palm vinegar and filipino spices. I hope you'll get to try it soon.
The mantis shrimp to some says taste like a mix of lobster and crabs, they are quite expensive because they are solitary thats why you don't catch them in quantities.
This is a very enjoyable Philippine food review video. A Blessed Merry Christmas to you awesome guys. Don't miss the luxurious Christmas decorations in BGC, Makati Greenbelt and Glorietta, Okada Manila, Eastwood City ... 🔔🎄🔔
Omg! Hey dude, yo Josh what's up over buying seafood? Friendly reminder, you can choose to buy only half kilo or 1/4 even. However, you're gonna get a lot of views and commentts! Filipino weakness is food vlogs. Anyways, that was freaking awesome! You can never go wrong with Dampa seafood! Also you can ask for take away leftovers. 😎✌👌🇵🇭🇬🇧
@@TheJourneyofJosh Adobo squid is delicious. I cook it with garlic, ginger , a bit of tomato. Stir fry squid. Add a few drops of vinegar and garnish with spring onions. I also like grilled squid.
The Tuna, when the cook said ‘salad and vinegar’, I was like westerners will not understand that. Tell them ‘ceviche’ haha.😅 Which is what it literally means when he said salad and vinergar.

we only ate one time there in Dampa...we went to Clare dela Fuente (?) it was a nice experience. But we only did it coz we have relatives from US coming over to visit us. Id love to try and eat there again, for the experience of it all :))
It is rather funny that you'd rather burn your finger instead of using a fork to hold that shrimp 😅 And eating Filipino dishes, rice is a must because the dishes are rather potent and the rice is the balancer.
I'm clearly not very experienced in eating shrimp 😂 was having a hard time getting the shell off haha. I totally agree, its a good thing I didn't get rice though otherwise I wouldnt have finished it
I find that dampa a bit expensive. I'd rather go to a proper seafood restaurant and enjoy the food without the hassle of buying then looking for a place to have it cooked. You can't go wrong w most restaurants there if they serve seafood as there's plenty of fresh seafood everywhere, especially when you go to the islands.
