thanks Nick. Please keep these learning sessions going with different ideas as there are so so many cool things you can do in Helix and most of us just scratch the surface of what is possible with it
Someone needs to take over the Gear Box Pod cast. Episodes of simple gear set up/sounds in addition to features and new products/interviews would be awesome!
Great tutorial video Nick. THANKS. Just shows me that I am so not using anywhere near the capabilities of my Helix(LT). Just not enough time to play and learn to tweak all that is tweakable.
Maybe you can do a preset for acoustic guitars? I try to create a preset so my six string acoustic sounds like a 12-string but the block “12 string” doesn’t sound good so I must doing something wrong.
Hi guys, great video. How many times can you split the signal path? I see always only 1 split/merge in all YT videos/manuals, but I would love to know if there is a possibility to have 2 splits. thank you :)
If you're using parallel paths but they're both merging back into the same path and you haven't changed any of the settings at the split and merge points - like balance - then isn't it the same as having them in the same path? Let us imagine Path 1A has distortion, 1B (split after the distortion) has reverb but then the reverb is merged back into 1A, now all the signal from 1A is mixing with the signal from 1B which is distortion and reverb, hence creating the same exact sound as if it was just one signal path with distortion into reverb. I see a lot of helix users creating paths similar to this and I think it's not really making any difference.
I immediately had this thought. But you have to realize that an effect only triggers when the signal passes the block. So if you don't want your delay to have reverb, they simply have to be split. Then you will have both effects without over reverb on delay.

Thanks for these videos.
Line 6 goes the extra mile.

welcome to the club :)
Fantastic video!!!! Thank you.
Thank you Nick!!!
Do you guys have any videos on Powercab Edit? And this video was really informative. It helped me understand the Helix a little more. Thanks!
Hi, wonder where I can get that amazing presets? The first one. 😊

All of these stuff are working just like this on Helix LT, right?
Yes.
"In lieu of that..."
You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
