I have been in SLP for the past few weeks and I really like it here. Adding it to my list, along with Aguascalientes, of possible places to live. There are still so many cities on my list to experience though so it will be interesting to see which one will be #1.
The procesion of silence is a remarkably beautiful cultural/religious event. Probably the best organized and fancy holy weak celebration in all Mexico. Greetings from Sauthern Ca. from a fan that has followed your videos almost since the begining.
What a nice overview of SLP! It looks like there are a number of green spaces which is really nice, plenty of shopping tinaguis and the food looked good.
Visited Querétaro for three days this past April and I absolutely loved the charm the city had. I think you may have just convinced me to come visit San Luis Potosí.
Dramatic temperature difference between day & night, I was completely unprepared 🥲 I miss it now tho with all the hot nights we’ve been having in Guadalajara!
I met the nicest young woman (relative to my senior status) at the PV tango festival, who was from SLP. I was curious to learn more. Wikipedia said it was a favored place by many international companies due to being muy tranquil. Your vlog bears that out and the historic nature of SLP. The tango festival will be in Ajijic this year. Planning a few days in GDL and will have to try to extend for a few days in SLP. Thanks for the great video. So enticing.
SLP has been on my list of places to go for a while. I will be in Guanajuato for a few months next winter and I plan on lots of trips to even more places in Mexico.
The list of places I want to visit in Mexico feels never ending, but this trip to SLP state has been top of mind for a long while. It did not disappoint!
Yes bring a coat!! I can’t stress that enough! I was so surprised as well.. Tangomanga is great! Did you see sheep? When we were there we saw so many!! We have never been to the La Huesteca but our friends told us about that! Did you have to pay to get in?
Unless my eyes deceived me, I saw ostriches at Tangamanga! As far as visiting the Huasteca Potosina, we paid a fee at each of the waterfalls we visited. The entrance price ranges from $30 to $160 MXN. You can see all the waterfalls we visited in this video: ua-cam.com/video/aCs5ZZdjprA/v-deo.html
I plan to stay in San Luis Potosí for 2 weeks. Any recommendations for a walkable neighborhood for an expat? I speak Spanish fluently. Can you recommend resources for getting to know SLP better before arriving? Thank you! Great video!
Se perdió de la tremenda contaminación sobre la carretera 57. También de la famosisima ciudad de Soledad donde te asaltan. Ah y cómo olvidar los chocolates constanzo dónde te atienden con cara de fuchi
If you haven't made it to Morelia, I highly recommend it. So close and easy to get to from Guadalajara. If it wasn't for the congested streets, it could easily be the most beautiful colonial city in Mexico (personal opinion.)
@alex-wittman No way Alex, too hot and dry, as is Queretaro, and almost all of Mexico imo with climate change. In San Cris now for two weeks, green and cool, probably the most livable city in the country...???
I’m from San Luis and i honestly think it’s one of the worst cities to visit in Mexico. The people are extremely rude and mean, they think they are high class and above everyone else but the city itself is honestly very mediocre compared to other cities in Mexico
Well well, people will treat you just the way they’re treated. I have been in San Luis for half of my life and going back and forth after moving to the USA and have never felt uncomfortable or misstated. Period and most of the people are respectful, educated, polite and friendly way more than any people from the states.
@@RealtorJonathanCruz I disagree. Potosinos have a way with words, and they can be very kind and friendly with you, but they are 2 faced people, and will very likely talk about you behind your back. They love gossip and spreading rumors about people. The women are a prime example. They can be very toxic and talk about people and criticize them all day long but when they see them in person, they do a complete 180 and pull a "nice person" front. The people there are also very unfaithful and are willing to cheat on their boyfriend/girlfriend on the spot. You can catch women staring at other men when they're walking with their partner down the street. People there are very vain and are obsessed with their image so they're willing to risk their relationship to get a narcissistic boost by cheating on their partner. I get this happens other places, but it is absolutely rampant in San Luis. Potosinos are also extremely miserable people, i have never seen people so unhappy with their jobs as Potosinos are and it's probably because they have to deal with people just as toxic as them every day.

Yes

San Luis my favorite city it’s the perfect balance between a quiet charm colonial city and a modern growing city with a lot of opportunities to grow
It even has the same plaza and park names. But so many trees! What a beautiful place. Great movie, thanks for sharing.
I've been wanting to go to SLP for years, it looks so beautiful! Also I need those loaded nachos in my life, they looked SO good!
Those nachos were 💣 La Piqueria is a must when you're in San Luis Potosi! Are you a fan of pulque?? I'm obsessed!
I can't wait to go back there! I was only there for one afternoon/evening and loved it.
We really enjoyed our nachos & drinks at La Piqueria! I recommend checking it out next time you're in San Luis Potosi, Jenny!

The parks in San Luis Potosí were very impressive! The food at El Querreque was sooooo goooood 😛

San Luis Potosí was the main capital of Mexico twice in the past... this is because of the minerals that surround hills. Specially the San Pedro hill
Ya no te pierdas tanto!!

Cool video Alex.....
Thanks for watching, JP! Based on the vlog, do you think San Luis Potosí has Querétaro vibes???
@@alex-wittman I think so. Kind of comfortable and easy going which for me is the key to things. Cool skating by the way.

How does SLP compare with Zacatecas and Aguascalientes ?
Great Job!
Thanks for watching!
Mexico has underrated coffee in general. I say this having traveled to Italy a few months ago.
Couldn’t agree more! We really love coffee from Chiapas & Veracruz ☕️
Was that a statute of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza?
Yes indeed
