Lotta people seemed to miss the "0" on Kate's outfit. The lowest number we always saw before was 1. That's probably why she had her costime on too, to highlight that.
The scene with Mark and Eve at the end is so somber and heartbreaking, because Mark was probably also thinking about everything that just happened. How he crossed a line in his eyes, one that he can't come back from. How he feels like he could become the worst parts of his dad. Eve's repeated line of "you don't deserve this" chokes me up. That man has experienced more trauma than anyone can fathom.
What's really messed up is... _any_ one of Angstroms' other lives would have been enough to drive _someone_ into an irrational homicidal rage. Now imagine a thousand times that, flooding through your head at all times. There was no way he'd turn out any different than this.
Nolan’s origin story is that of an individual that was raised in an unfathomable society. Imagine being taught from birth that you are a part of a superhuman master race that conquers the galaxy and is physically capable of mass genociding whichever race they so desired. Viltrumites saw any race that wasn’t their own as inferior, and that the destruction of those races and their planets was necessary in order to supplant them and their technology with their own and thus expand their Empire. Throw in the fact that they live for thousands of years and have repeated the process of conquering planets for the same amount of time, and the fact that Nolan misses his wife, regrets his actions on Earth, and doesn’t see humanity as inferior just shows how profound the change inside him is. That last scene isn’t to highlight that he misses Debbie, it’s to highlight the magnitude of change that is going on inside him.
So many people really miss the mark on Nolan as a character. He says he deserves death and people roll their eyes. Trying to be accountable in the least destructive way he knows. I hope we get to see that version of Mark. Especially since we know our Mark was about to start doing experiments on Angstrom s body before the guardians came.
Debby will continue on becoming one of the best characters in the series. Don’t want to spoil too much. She’s great ☺️ love all the Debbie love in a reaction.
I am so glad that the series is following the comics. You guys have no idea how many seasons this will undergo. This is one long series. But the story is one of the most interesting entertaining superhero stories I’ve ever seen. Personally, I like it more than any Marvel or DC comic.
Seeing Mark have a mental breakdown at the fact that he lost control and killed Angstrom and thought he was stuck in a barren wasteland was heartbreaking, even though, yes, I do agree that Angstrom deserved to die. Mark justifiably killed him in self-defence, plus he also hurt Debbie and threatened Oliver. Angstrom Levy is also a tragic villain since he's struggling to juggle every memory of alternate versions of Angstrom in the multiverse. Still, in nearly every universe, Mark is evil and kills or ruins Angstrom's life in each of them. Even if it was all Angstrom's fault to begin with, I still can't help but feel a little sorry for him. Steven Yeun and Sterling K Brown did a phenomenal job and gave performances of a lifetime in this episode. It's also really emotionally surreal seeing Nolan actually miss his wife, and this is a tremendous development for him, especially when last season had him calling Debbie a 'pet'! CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 3! BTW, even though the show couldn't use the rights for Spider-Man because of Disney, I still LOVE hearing the Spectacular Spider-Man voice actor himself, Josh Keaton, return to play a Spider-Man-like character.
A see people not discuss the fact that he’s also coping with the thought he fucked up his own timeline and needed to go back in time basically lmaoo that would shake me up a bit
I can't believe they referenced Chainsaw this early. Oh also that guy asking Mark how he got there the Skeletor guy was Omnipitus. he was the guy the Guardians fought ealier this season while Mark was away Samson pushed him through a portal is how they beat him in the comic. Also Nolan saying that at the end shows he's changed. Regardless how she reacts if they see each other again, he now knows how stupid he was and he actually feels for someone unlike the other 99.9% of Viltrumites. It's pretty big character growth in the comic for him to say that it's great how much this shows a 1:1 to it's comic counterpart.
If ppl still don't get the whole thing about seeing Debbie as a pet, it's a matter of putting it in perspective and somehow understanding that for a being who has probably lived a thousand years, how he perceives another living being that is only going to live 90 at most, it will perceive it differently, regardless of the experiences in those 20 years of relation that represent nothing in the lifespam of a being like Nolan,, and the same in terms of being indifferent in terms of sentimentality and emotions, the most similar case in that sense is Frieren, but there it is explained well from the beginning of the series, not only is he presented as an evil being who wants to conquer the human race and kills so many people just because, Nolan is adapting to feelings, customs, philosophy of life that he has learned and lived for just 20 years, and leaving behind all after being raised, taught and having lived at least 800 years as his Viltrumite culture tells him
fr its what nolan said in the heat of the moment, to try and convince mark its like i said damn im a god at this after doing something impressive then they'll say "weren't you a god?"
I’ve stopped trying to explain. Ppl media literacy is low and but they are very emotional. When you actually put effort to understand the characters in the show and view every perspective it’s not crazy at all that Nolan said that. Ppl are just more shocked that he compared her to a dog than actually realising it’s a accurate way to describe how viltrumites would view humans due to the shear difference in lifespan. Most ppl watching nowadays cannot understand characters as layered and complex as Nolan, despite it being pretty easy to see😂. In the minds of many viewers they can only categorise ppl as good or bad. That’s why they refuse to acknowledge his change of heart.
I'm hoping Nolan doesn't come back to Earth super changed and humble. It would be nice if he somewhat just expects to be forgiven after apologizing. He's changing but he's still taking baby steps. I think this is likely as he referred to humans and other species as "lesser" beings.
When both of them could die any day protecting the planet; why wait? Live in the moment because you might not live long at all. It's not like Kate or Immortal where you have an out.
@@Ejay669 It's in both of there best interests if they take their time. Especially Mark who isn't fully over Amber and who went the mental ringer lately.
And keep in mind angstrom levy is the only angstrom with the power to make portals to other universes. All the other angstroms were just normal people in their dimensions
7:47 I'm so glad that they brought in Josh Keaton as the voice of Agent Spider. Context Josh Keaton voiced The Spectacular Spider-Man (2008 - 2009) one of the best Spider-Man shows and in general just one of the best animated shows of all time. Josh also cameoed as Spectacular Spider-Man in Across the Spider-Verse showing up when Miles and Miguel were arguing over letting Miles father die because it's "A Canon Event" according to Miguel. Spectacular Spider-Man is the smaller Spider-Man fitting the art style of the show. Why is there a Spider-Man reference? Well in the Invincible comic Mark is actually sent into the Marvel universe, going through the portal and flying into Doc Ock. You don't see Ock's face as he's facing away from the portal but the design is spot on to the comics, you also don't see Spider-Man fully just his arm reaching out from the side of the panel. We then got a Marvel/Invincible crossover comic that fills in the gaps showcasing Spider-Man showing Mark around the Marvel universe from chatting about their names and believes to meeting the New Avengers and then going off to fight Doc Ock. The portal opens back up and Mark says goodbye to Spider-Man, flying through the portal again. Peter shouts something along the lines of "Hey You may need some help" and web's Mark while he's flying so that Peter gets pulled into the portal as well but it closes leaving Mark with a web stuck to his back like you see at 8:36 The show runners could've used Spider-Man but according to some sources they never contacted Marvel and just assumed they'd not be able to use the character for a small cameo. So that's why we get Agent Spider and Prof Ock two original characters created for this show who can be seen as Spider-Man and Doc Ock variants.
Looked through a few comments and didn’t see this addressed, but the reason they had Kate in her suit when she met immortal is so that you can notice that the real Kate starts at number zero on her suit not at number one as everyone had originally thought and in reality making her Kate zero and not Kate prime. I think it’s even funnier in season one when they have their first guardians meeting and one of the Kates making reference to filling in the other Kate who’s not here right now. Who knows which Kate she was referring to anymore.😂😂😂
Ayyy finally! Unfortunately, we're probably going to have to wait another year to see another invincible episode from you guys again. Nonetheless, great video!! 🎉
So Rex was in the robot suit. Nice touch to show us that something will happen with Rudy in the future...Also, i wonder what happened to Mark after 20 years alone in the sand dimension. He probably lost it and became crazy. Would be cool to show us..
Arachnid-Man was actually trying to help Mark and follow him to his home dimension. If you see when he comes back there is web on him back as he tried to follow him but the portal closed.
It actually makes perfect sense that Angstrom and his varients are more likely to encounter an Evil Mark It's an easier decision for Mark to side with Nolan, as it guarantees he's still alive (at least in the short term) Meanwhile, the likelihood of Mark turning against Nolan AND living is so low, so it makes sense only 1 out of hundreds of Angstroms would actually encounter a version of Mark who rebelled and is still alive
You would also have to take into account universes where Nolan hasn't had "the talk" with his son yet, or even universes where Viltrum is actually good or where Nolan already decided to betray Viltrum after years of being heroic on Earth.
This episode was hard to watch. I fell Mark and Debbie. Wow, it's too much for this young guy but it's so relatable to me if anyone. If you get a phone call thinking and seeing it's your mom and yet it's someone else, how you briefly know I would go crazy. I can't wait until season 3
Bro idk why they stretched out his relationship with Amber for so long. His true love and partner and later wife is Eve!! It's been her all along. She clearly loves him but he was so engrossed in that relationship and everything else that he didn't notice. For the whole season, i was waiting for them to finally get together. What are you talking about it's not the right time, it's past that i can't deal with this filler bullshit of him and Amber i really do not care.
The blonde girl in the old guardians is I believe the girl that fought black Samson in the try outs for the new guardians of the globe (no idea who she is haven’t read the comics but im assuming she will join the team in the future)
I don't remember if they ever explicity mentioned it in the comics and I'm just forgetting, but I'm curious what kind of person Debbie was in the other dimensions. Cuz she seems to be the main variable that determines whether Mark sides with or goes against Nolan imo.
Allan never saw nolan as bad? He came to earth to fight him as earth protector now and then, so maybe Allan saw Nolan as a buddy before everything went donw?
I don’t know if it would have worked but with the benefit of hindsight Mark should have told Angstrom to take him to one of the Evil Mark’s and they could fight him together to prove our Mark was good. It might not have worked though and also a huge risk cuz the other Marks will not pull punches.
I discovered your channel just a few weeks ago and I loved watching your Invincible reactions so much, you all are just fantastic! I saw that you also have the Boys reactions and I can't wait to check them out but are you planning on reacting to Gen V? According to the showrunner, season 4 is going to pick up exactly where Gen V left off so if you want to explore the universe of the Boys further and understand more context of what's going to happen in the next season I'd highly recommend checking it out!
fun fact the zombie dimension he was in was the walking dead dimension and in the walking dead they had invincible comics also he was suppose to team up with spiderman this episode they just couldnt get the rights
I've been thinking about the clues about how each of the universes are different, and I have a theory. It's weird that there's only one good Invincible and ALL the others are evil, but now I see it a bit differently. Here me out: what if before Omni-Man revealed his intentions, most Invincibles were heroic (suspending disbelief that a few turned out to be dicks of their own accord), then on the "day of ultimatum," suppose roughly half the Marks rebel against Nolan and the slightly smaller half yield and join the Viltrum cause for one reason or another. What if the Mark that we follow was the only good one who 'survived?' Every rebellious Mark was killed by their dad EXCEPT ours. Our Mark may not be the only one who's good, but it's more likely that our Nolan IS. The clue that I'm drawing from is Oliver. This is the only reality where he exists (or at least, the only one where Mark brought him to Earth). Maybe this is the only universe where Nolan went to Thraxa, because it's the only one where he flew away instead of conquering Earth. Viltrumites are so stubborn, that perhaps only one Nolan in a thousand different realities was willing to spare Mark and accept him for who he is.
Notice that Kate's uniform has zero and all the scene in the first 2 seasons is the Kate in the scenes has 1 in her uniform, I'm guessing she the original and the 1 numbered Kate is just the copy
I agree with you ladies, that Mark and Eve need to take their time, Eve is stilling trying to figure her own shit out, and Mark isn't fully over Amber and is most definitely not in the right head space for a serious relationship. Steven Yeun's voice acting was at all time high, not only this episode but the whole season.

I have 0 sympathy for Levy. If we allow the torture and execution of innocents just because someone went thru trauma, then many many innocents will die as a result. No tolerance for that at all. He found the 1 universe where Mark and his family were good and victimized them because he has trauma. He continued the cycle of pain even in the SINGLE timeline where that wasnt the case, he chose to perpetuate the cycle. If he cared so much then he wouldnt beget more pain. Only a hard line stance on this issue will keep the innocent safe from people continuing the cycle of pain
Okay, the timeline stuff can be explained. Think of like this, in the Multiverse, there's an infinite number of universes where events play out differently. So, Mark is from Earth-1 and Angstrom sent him to many Earths and they ended up on say Earth-100, where Mark killed Angstrom but was stuck there--in the year 2024. The rest of the Guardians back on Earth-1 were waiting for Mark to return but year after year he didn't return, they figure Angstrom must have been injured or killed, so they spent years trying to find which Earth that Mark was on and didn't find him until 2044. However, Old Mark was "not good", so, on Earth-100, they used a time machine to travel back from 2044 to 2024, just after Mark killed Angstrom. Then they opened a portal for Mark to return to Earth-1. Problem solved. Wait, if they had a time machine, why not travel back to BEFORE Mark became a murderer and spare him the guilt--or even before Angstrom attack to spare Debbie a broken arm or earlier to warn Mark about Omni-Man? PARADOX! Changing those events would have prevented them having the time machines in the first place and going back in time so Angstrom would be alive to maybe having the accident a different way. The farthest back in time they dare to risk to change is after Mark disappeared justifying them using the time machine in the first place.
If that Comic-Con visit is any indication, see you guys back here in a year. sigh Unless there's an Invincible and Legally-Distinct-Spider-Man Crossover special episode down the pipeline. Here's hoping.

I hope we get to see that version of Mark. Especially since we know our Mark was about to start doing experiments on Angstrom s body before the guardians came.
@@namishjain9238 yeah alot of movies now are doing branching timelines and dimensions now lol
Yeah some didn’t like that, I thought it was extremely appropriate and expected. Imo tho

Wdym by chainsaw
If ppl still don't get the whole thing about seeing Debbie as a pet, it's a matter of putting it in perspective and somehow understanding that for a being who has probably lived a thousand years, how he perceives another living being that is only going to live 90 at most, it will perceive it differently, regardless of the experiences in those 20 years of relation that represent nothing in the lifespam of a being like Nolan,, and the same in terms of being indifferent in terms of sentimentality and emotions, the most similar case in that sense is Frieren, but there it is explained well from the beginning of the series, not only is he presented as an evil being who wants to conquer the human race and kills so many people just because, Nolan is adapting to feelings, customs, philosophy of life that he has learned and lived for just 20 years, and leaving behind all after being raised, taught and having lived at least 800 years as his Viltrumite culture tells him
I hate when people bring it up, as if it's meant to be a statement at face value.
fr its what nolan said in the heat of the moment, to try and convince mark
its like i said damn im a god at this after doing something impressive then they'll say "weren't you a god?"
I think the funniest thing about this is mark’s adrenaline turned the ‘softening’ up into a DBZ training montage
I'm hoping Nolan doesn't come back to Earth super changed and humble. It would be nice if he somewhat just expects to be forgiven after apologizing. He's changing but he's still taking baby steps. I think this is likely as he referred to humans and other species as "lesser" beings.
Thank you for agreeing that Mark and Eves relationship should wait, with all Mark has gone through.
When both of them could die any day protecting the planet; why wait? Live in the moment because you might not live long at all. It's not like Kate or Immortal where you have an out.

Peter shouts something along the lines of "Hey You may need some help" and web's Mark while he's flying so that Peter gets pulled into the portal as well but it closes leaving Mark with a web stuck to his back like you see at 8:36
The show runners could've used Spider-Man but according to some sources they never contacted Marvel and just assumed they'd not be able to use the character for a small cameo. So that's why we get Agent Spider and Prof Ock two original characters created for this show who can be seen as Spider-Man and Doc Ock variants.
Even the dialogues within that scene implicate the current mcu, pretty cool
Disney has the TV show rights to Spider-Man so yk they wouldn’t let him be in this
Poor Oliver and Debbie. I would have done the same thing if I was in Mark's shoes. Family is precious, and he's not responsible for other dimensions.
Mannn I was having a TERRIBLE and this reaction was able to not only take my mind off things, but also cheer me up. Thank y’all for being yourselves🖤🖤

In the comics invincible actually meets spider man and the avengers
Arachnid-Man was actually trying to help Mark and follow him to his home dimension. If you see when he comes back there is web on him back as he tried to follow him but the portal closed.
It actually makes perfect sense that Angstrom and his varients are more likely to encounter an Evil Mark
It's an easier decision for Mark to side with Nolan, as it guarantees he's still alive (at least in the short term)
Meanwhile, the likelihood of Mark turning against Nolan AND living is so low, so it makes sense only 1 out of hundreds of Angstroms would actually encounter a version of Mark who rebelled and is still alive
That's a cruslly something i didn't consider, but makes complete sense. Huh, whaddya know
You would also have to take into account universes where Nolan hasn't had "the talk" with his son yet, or even universes where Viltrum is actually good or where Nolan already decided to betray Viltrum after years of being heroic on Earth.

One thing i love about invincible is every season mark will grow more and more as a person

Do you understand that villain characters also go through character development or is that just a foreign concept to you guys.
I dunno about that, mark did explain what he did on earth, and being inherently a viltrumite, he came back to warn him
I don’t know if it would have worked but with the benefit of hindsight Mark should have told Angstrom to take him to one of the Evil Mark’s and they could fight him together to prove our Mark was good. It might not have worked though and also a huge risk cuz the other Marks will not pull punches.
I love the irony of Marks superhero name being Invincible. It makes you think that he actually is but like Allen said he's pretty vincible.
But he literally is invincible tho. You can’t kill him
You can see the reflection of Invincible on the 100,000 subscriber plaque. 😅😅😅😅

The next season will be straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I won’t spoil anything for it. Just now everything will go crazy
Protect Debbie at all costs!!!
Where can I get the t shirt and jumper they look amazing ?
Notice that Kate's uniform has zero and all the scene in the first 2 seasons is the Kate in the scenes has 1 in her uniform, I'm guessing she the original and the 1 numbered Kate is just the copy
Why did Angstrom think zombies posed any danger whatsoever? Mark flies 10 feet up and he's invincible (literally) 😂

Not every other but most
@@Enter_Zoneless I meant every single universe is evil but ours
@@jordanlevy9577angstrom mentions "most other universes" and since it's infinite universes, there's bound to be at least 1 other good mark
The farthest back in time they dare to risk to change is after Mark disappeared justifying them using the time machine in the first place.
when mark says I thought you were stronger he wasn’t talking about the brain dude he was talking about himself.
Well, Andressa is dead. So, in that scene Nolan is talking about Debbie
