It’s that time! I’ve been growing my hair out for a little while now and noticed my wash days were getting a little rough with only a little hair on my head. Time has taught me that means I’m in need of a trim. I also w Ted to get a good sense of the condition of my hair postpartum to be able to track any obvious changes over the next few months. So I decided to go to my trusted stylist here in San Diego for a good ole silk press.

If you’re new here, I’m a retired braider after 7+ years of being in the business. Throughout my time as a braider (really sine about 4 years old) I’ve been wearing braids. I’ve learned so much from myself and clients hair when it comes to braids. My channel before this video focuses on how to wear and use braids as an aid for hair retention. From here on out you will be journeying with me as I dive into new styles.
I’m at the point in my life where I just want to do what I want. I no longer have to be a walking advertisement, I have no restrictions holding me back and I’m ready to get into some things. Does that mean I’ll never do braids again? No. You just won’t see them as often. Does that mean I’ll neglect the health of my hair? No. But I will do what I want when I want and if that means cutting off inches due to some damage then so be it.

You’re absolutely right! As the days passed it looked better. My hair is virgin hair aside from a blowout so it takes a little training. I wore it for 5 days.
