Another really great video Tim.. IT was great to see you again and talk with you for a while.. Your still the HARDEST WORKING MAN in the UA-cam model community 😎👍🇺🇸
Tim it was great meeting and chatting with you and great coverage as always. ACME was well worth the trip between meeting and talking to folks and deals I bought. Hope to make it next year!!
Thanks for your coverage of the vendors and slowing down for the price tags. It is fun to see which kits I have compared to what the vendors are selling. A little secret for you, come up to Canada and save 30% on stuff cuz of the exchange rate......oops, don't tell anybody else !
Great video Tim. I missed you buddy. I seen many people I wanted to meet and when they are videoing I won't bother them. I'm going tohave to travel with Andrew and catch up with you and others. Great show
Glad you enjoyed the vid... I was at the STS Decals booth most of the day. If you ever see me filming, please come up and say HI...... I love the interaction!!!!!
I cannot wait to finally attend one of these type of shows. Unfortunately I think my brain would just shut down completely looking at tons of GREAT prices. Wouldn’t know what to buy first and I would need to make an addition to my house in order to fit all the model kits I want! Love watching your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks a bunch.
There's a kit I just got a week ago. The hemi cuda. There is so many model kits I never seen . Two hobby shops folded up here and was selling all their models in one lot I could have bought a house for that. But then again where are you going to find a model kit in NY state in my area not very likely.
I'm just getting back into scale modeling after, a few decades. Thanks for showing the vendor info! I've bookmarket a bunch of links. You sir, are an enabler =P Love these convention videos. You've got a sub from me.
Holy crap Tim, I'm so glad I'm stuck over here in the styrene wasteland called the UK. I would go bankrupt with some of those kit prices! Wow so cheap. Great stuff, I'll be contacting that guy with the resin bodies, love the look of that 59 Chevy Brookwood wagon.
wow what a shop the prices are outstanding just funny how some are one price for a kit and another is way higher than the other ,I am sure you got a few more kits too thanks enjoyed
Always impressive to see the stuff the vendors kit there have. The RMCM stuff is great to see in bulk. Thanks for recording and sharing as always, Tim. 👍🏼
I was looking through my models and found 2 die cast cars of Dale Jr. When he was starting out in the old Busch Series. Both cars at the time I bought them cost me $20 each. One is the #3 Vanilla Wafer car, & the other is the #3 Oreo car. They're still in their original packages. I also found an SR-71 Blackbird model. Unfinished.
You may have seen me. I had on a black shirt that said Tuna No Crust. I went by Slixx, but did not go by STS. They were right across from one another weren’t they?
Good stuff Tim, your video is top notch and I was able to read all the prices very clearly. Venue and vendor selection definitely looks bigger than the firmerblocation. Thanks for sharing.😊
@THROTTLEPOWER I don't know if I can go that far with my wife's health, but I'm going to try and my the nationals at Kansas City this coming summer it's only five hours away from my house
Wow, I see alot of models I bought in the '80s, I'm a Mopar Dude, some models I never did have, I'm partial to Mopar Promotional models, '74 'Cuda, '73-'74 Plymouth Roadrunners and Dodge Chargers, and of course, Richard Petty stuff!!! Great footage, love it!!! Mopar Nate Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Right on Mopar Nate, there sure were some good ones there!!!! Speaking of Mopars, I'm super excited about the '71 Dodge Demon coming out in a few weeks. Should be a HOT seller.
@@THROTTLEPOWER Yessir, it would, I've always wanted a Duster or Demon, slot car, maybe H-O scale , preferably Autoworld who took over Tomy and Aurora AFX!!! Back to 1:24-25, I love the MPC '74 Plymouth Roadrunner, wished they made it a promotional model!!! Maybe a 1:18 Diecast from Autoworld!!! Mopar Nate Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Hi Tim, that looked to be a very excellent swap meet, I even spied a kit I would have purchased, the Crown Victoria Police car, now did 'Mrs Tim' let you buy much? Best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👌👍👌👍👌👍
Should send a Johan model shirt to Steve magnante might make him feel better I know he does models too besides being a walking auto encyclopedia. Hope he's doing better
Got to shop FIRST...then film. WAY too many good deals. Kept seeing kits I would have grabbed up. I think I would have spent a LOOONG while looking through all the small bags of tires/wheels and extra detail parts!
Some of the prices for the models now is absolutely insane. "Vintage" or not, prices are ridiculous. I can remember buying model 1/24 kits for $2.50 and Testors enamels were .19 cents. With my lawn mowing money I could buy a model, paint, brushes and have enough leftover for a milk shake. And yes, I still build models and have the means to buy whatever I want. But 45-60 bucks for a 1/24 or smaller? With a rare exception, forget it. That's a royal screwing. No wonder the youth today could care less about modeling, they can't afford it. Look at the majority of people who attend these swap meets----full of grey hair and bald heads. Except for the R/C cars, those who fly R/C airplanes have the same type of enthusiasts---mostly old farts just like me.
@@THROTTLEPOWER This winter for a change of pace, I decided to build a Daniels Beer Wagon Kit I had lying around. This morphed into my building 5 more cars over the past 3 months. A Tamiya Lancia Stratos, 1950 Chevy Pick-up, 1968 Shelby Mustang, 1936 modified, and a 2001 NASCAR Earnhardt Monte Carlo. For a long time, my main focus has been building R/C airplanes from plans, the occasional kit and helping others in the hobby. My latest airplane build, a CAP 231 recently placed 1st in masters class for a club build off. Back to the plastics. I really enjoyed building the cars and now have a few in the closet ready to go when the urge strikes me again. It was/is fun! Great job with the swap meet video. It was nice seeing some of the old kits again.
