I had this CD the year it came out 1994, when a fusion of Hip hop, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rap all came together....There was a movement in NYC called Giant Step, with Artists like Groove Collective, Maceo Parker, Brand new Heavies, incognito, D-Influence, young disciples, It was one of the best musical times of my life!
have you been on this gig?

Lester Bowie's trumpet on this is absolutely magnificent as is the guitar of Wah Wah Watson. Takes you on a journey every time.
Digable Planets, in its first go-around, had two amazing albums and you can see that artistry here.
"Wah Wah Watson", was an American guitarist who was a member of The Funk Brothers, the studio band for Motown Records.
Born: December 8, 1950, Richmond, Virginia, United States
Died: October 24, 2018, Santa Monica, California, United States
I picked up the bass again bc of this album.
Gone are the days of true artistry. The fusion movement was so powerful! Lyrically the DP's were undoubtedly one of the most incredible groups around. Intelligent, deep and shared knowledge... Damn, I miss hip hop:(
+shell francis I have it on my computer. thank god for limewire otherwise it may be dead, This is my favorite funk/jazz song by them.
I love love love digable planets. This by far was one of my most favorite songs by them. It certainly feels as if the bygone days of hip hop are truly upon us now that Phife is gone. I will definitely check out limewire. thanks for the suggestion!
Well I meant I got it from limewire back in the day when it was illegal downloads. i don't know if limewire is still running. If you want the song I suggest converting it from youtube to mp3. Cheers! Long live Digable!
shell francis I can't believe their documentary declared their second album flopped.
Still had the CD. Dug it out the crate and made sure to download a copy for posterity
Got this back when it first came out and I'm still jammin it!!!

Unreal how good this is.
As a youth of about 19 years old, when I first heard this song I thought music was changed forever. This shit holds up today like it was brand NEW
