this is honestly super helpful. i plan to do a bigger build for my beardie once i have a bigger place and honestly i was not looking forward to working with glass, this provides such a good alternative as well as my main complaint with my tank is the ventilation.
Pine is not toxic when it's been dried, however you have to be careful what boards you buy because as I understand it, construction lumber is not kiln dried. Cedar, however, IS toxic and should be avoided at all cost. There's a reason it repels insects. Lovely enclosure btw!
Hi was wondering if you can make a bearded dragon enclosure out of shelf boards the kind with the Formica like material around kind of like a pressed board
you mean melamine. and yes, quite a few people do, but it's heavy as balls compared to regular plywood or OSB (almost twice as heavy in some cases) so moving it around, both as you build AND just moving the finished enclosure to where you want it, is gonna be a bit harder.

You can pretty much make an enclosure out of anything so long. Is it safe for the pet
Nice build what size screws did you use to set the plexiglass and how's the enclosure holding up since the build
Holding up great! Idk what size the screws were. They were just small.
@@CrushedEMTBthat’s what she said.. ugh what’s wrong with meeee
What do you do with the pythons ?
Very good attention to detail. I’m going to try this but looks like I need way more tools which makes this a really expensive DIY. But looks amazing
wonderful job !!
Thanks!
plexi glass with 150watt heat? its gonna melt
That's no tiny boat..
Sometimes you need a break
a little scared that i didnt see a UVB fixture put it. also garry looks like he might already have MBD :(
Mbd?!?
@@CrushedEMTB it’s an irreversible bone disease
UVB lamps that fit these fixtures are commonplace. Non-issue.
@@CrushedEMTBthe alarmist in the bearded dragon Community .. pay them no mind.. 😂
Ya sad thing is the price will never go down cause people are willing to pay for it
Agreed
I wish I could have a small one just aboot two ft by 2 ft by 3 ft
You can make it any size you want. We tend to go a little extreme on this channel.
That’s what shhhhh oh no I’ve got a major twss tick?
most epoxies off gas VOC's btw, you need to do more research
Underneath the floor? Get real.
Y
Y not?
You built all that to have that setup? No enrichment, no other hides besides the one what's the plans for a humid hide. Smh 🤦🏽🤦🏽
