As a Navajo, I often wondered how they were able to construct the loom for that size. Watching this gave me a better understanding behind the amazing rug. Thank you so much for this. Another question I was wondering about was if they used store bought yarn or hand made yarn?

Wow, I wondered about this rug. I didnt know it was one solid rug. I thought it was separate rugs stitched together. It would be nice to display it somehow for the public to see.

I was a student at the former Chilchinbeto Day School when this project begin and saw it rise from the floor of the gymnasium. It was huge, the gymnasium was the perfect place for this project.

Where can it be seen now? Can it be kept perfectly in one of the Nation's protected museums? Will this be done in 2024?

It's a common problem that artworks are hidden away in an effort to keep the art "safe" -- which limits the intent of the artworks, which is to be seen and enjoyed. ...and they should never be exactly replicated. If the people want to have a rug of that size made again, it should be made in the style of and by present weavers in the community -- support the actual ongoing life of the weaving community.

Maybe instead of keeping it folded up in a box, it should be displayed someplace on the Navajo nation so that people can enjoy it daily.

You left some people out from the community of Beto. We need to think about a new chapter house it looks sad to see. Then make a place to display the rugs there's 2 of them big and bigger . Instead of rolling it up and hiding it.

The rug belongs in Arizona! If you want to see it, go to Arizona!

If nothing else this beautiful and priceless thing could be displayed at the Smithsonian to be protected as an irreplaceable work of art of the Navajo nation.

It belongs in Arizona thank you. Besides the Smithsonian is notorious for losing items, many items.
