Update: I have loosen the strings and worn the VL Court. I DO NOT recommend. I got a blister on the back of my foot, the first time I wore them. They are not wide foot friendly. The Gazelles on the other hand are perfection, I have worn them plenty of times with no problems.
Another Wide footer woman here! 🙋🏾♀️ Gazelle’s are definitely wide foot friendly!.. I have a black suede pair in men’s size 8.5…. I’ve never tried the VLs but they caught my eye last night at Macy’s on sale for $60

I don't know if they can be broken in. It shouldn't be this painful. My gazelles are 2nd hand so already broken in. They are more comfortable but squeaky. I can't find any comfy trainers in this day and age. I never had a problem with trainers in the 00s.
How are the VL insoles vs the Gazelles? I have 2 pair of Gazelles and love love them because they have arch support and I can walk many miles in them comfortably.
Sorry for the late reply, the thickness of the insoles seems to be the same however the Giselles have arch support while the VL’s are flat. I hope that helps.
I just got a VL Court 3.0 a couple days ago and I feel the same! I love their style but I am thinking of returning them cause I felt pain in my left foot. how did it end up after loosening the strings and breaking them in?
I haven’t returned them, I just love the color too much. I did loosen the strings and they fit better but I haven’t worn them yet to know if that makes it better.

Have you tried the Sambas? They have really cute colorways as well but I’ve seen so many reviews saying they’re not wide foot friendly.

@@JoJo-sd9rj I do not recommend the VL Court, I wore them and my left foot got a blister!!! The gazelles are wonderful, no problems.
My adidas were tight as well I changed out the insole to a thinner one and now I’m good to go!

Oh that’s a great question, I think the Women’s gazelles are wide foot friendly but the men’s might be even bigger.

I’ve definitely loosen the strings but haven’t broken them in yet. On the other hand, I've worn the Gazelles a bunch and they're so comfy.
