@@flofroschmayer They are a game changer if you do Pro work - everything is there - however for my personal use away from the studio the Leicas are the best thing out there - I love using them - good stuff
Hi from Germany! Thanks for this video. I received my Leica Q3 a week ago. From my Fujifilm X-Pro2 I was used to film simulations for the JPEGs. So I loaded the Leica Looks to the camera but then struggled with understanding how the 2 categories "Film Look" and "Leica Looks" work together. This video enlightened me, that only one setting out of both categories is active.. Logical but not described sufficiently in the manual. So, the main difference is that you further can adjust the Film Look settings but not the Leica Looks. For this reason it makes some sense to have two categories for more or less the same thing.. Looking for some Kodachrome style I tried out the Leica Look "classical" but found the results way too harsh and far away from the style I wanted. So, thanks again and keep it going..
Thank you for sharing, so basically has the Q3 have the leica looks and further built in colour styles so realistically the Q3 has 10 colour presets built in once you download the looks??
Yes! It is a bit confusing... because of their naming... the Leica Film looks are the ones implemented in every Leica camera... the Leica Looks are Q3 exclusive at this point... so once you downloaded the Leica looks through the Leica FOTOS App you have 10 JPG color presets.
@@flofroschmayer thanks ☺️ seriously considering picking up a Q3. I’m a left eye shooter so I’m not sure if you are and if you are how do you find using the viewfinder on the Q3?
Hello, Thank you for your great videos. You said that your SL2 could have the camera set up with the app with the 6.0 firmware. I own a SL2-S but can't connect it with the Fotos app via USB-C to my iPhone 15 Pro. Is it the same for you? Thank you.
@@flofroschmayer I contacted Leica support and they recommended Original Apple USB-C to USB-C without Thunderbolt, but it didn't work. I let you know if I get another feedback.
Loving your videos - unfortunately until they make the looks useable after the capture and changeable between each they’re pretty useless for anyone other than someone who goes I only wanna take mono HC jpegs etc and if that’s the case why did you spend 6k on a camera that produces 60mgp DNG’s 😂
Thank you Florian - your video was informative, detailed and on-point. Bravo and thank you again!
Thank you! I am happy to hear that!
Listened, liked, subbed!! Good stuff - SL2, Q3 owner here using M lenses and Hss X2D and 907xCFV100c
Oh, nice… never had the X2D in my hands… or any other Hasselblad… something I intend to do sooner than later.

Thank you for clearing this up... and yes, I'll try ;-)
Came across your tutorial. Very informative. Enjoyed your LA Dodgers cap. Greetings from Southern Calfornia!
:-) yes… the cap is my LA reference for when I am not in LA… Love that version of the had which got a bit more difficult to find.

Hello,

Thank you.
That is weird! Did you try another cable? Some of the USB C cables are only for power supply or the data speed is not high enough.

Leica replied that they do not support Connection via Cable to Leica FOTOS for SL2-S. Only Q3, SL3 and M11 for now,
Why is a tripod necessary for these shots?
For comparing purposes only. I just wanted to take the exact same photos with every Leica Look to compare them.

Very good question! But there must be a market...
