Up to now I just hid the NEXT button and showed a little disclaimer. The NEXT button became visible only after all tabs were visited. This is a nice, simple, interactive approach. Thank you!
On the one hand, it's sad that it took this long to get a bit of programming logic that is available in every scripting language since the beginning of scripting languages. On the other hand, it is wonderful to have, and I thank you for letting me know about it.
Hey Jeff! I love your courses on Udemy and then I thought I would check out your playlist! It is awesome. Do you think this Else feature could simplify the way the Memory game is built? I will give it a try but I suspect your guidance will be needed. Maybe one day, this software will become so intuitive to me that I can create this level of interactivity all on my own. 😄
Hey Doris - Got your message on Udemy as well. Yes the Else will for sure simplify the memory game. I need to go back to those videos and rework that with the new Else feature.
Great videos, but I think in your initial example 2nd trigger doesn't need any conditions, just action to show layer. This trigger would then act only if the first trigger with conditions was not triggered (so exactly the same behaviour as the 'else' action).
Adam - in this example, you are correct. Because I have it positioned as the second item in the triggers, it only happens if the next page does not get triggered first, so this example may not be the best, but it still simplifies it down to 1 trigger rather than 2. If I had the show layer first, it would still be relevant, but in this case, it was second, so good call out. Hopefully, it is still helpful for people to see how to use the Else feature even if it is not in this exact scenario, but it is a good call out.
@@LearningDojo there is a lot to learn from you, thanks for posting these videos and suggesting solutions. I wish Articulate could expand else function and allow adding more conditions. Merry Christmas
@@AdamZamczyk thanks! And yes that would be nice! I would love the ability to have 1 Trigger that can be repeatable with various objects. I’ll take whatever we can get :)
Animate like Adobe Animate? Do you use it for elearning content? I started out in the Flash world but left it awhile ago so just curious if people are still using Animate (previously called Flash) and how.
Great feature! Your videos are so easy to watch and understand, thank you and happy holidays!
Thank you and Happy holidays to you!
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for explaining this so clearly and offering such an illustrative example.
Glad it was helpful!

Only took them 10 years to add an Else. Hence I dislike the program and prefer Animate.
