MSD intake manifolds are badass, averaging 30hp gain at wheels over stock vs the Fast averaging 20-25. Plus much easier install for the average joe, since fuel injectors are plug and play unlike they Fast.
it's definitely a far cry from the old school intakes where you need to run sealant along the front and rear of the block. .. and no coolant passages to make a mess. much quicker and easier. nice work, Andy.
So 18HP on the LT1 versions and 36 HP on the LS versions and 1000 +bucks and u still have to do all that extra maintenance (bolt torquing) before it’s even installed and im hearing the runners still need to be ground on uneven areas and flash too????? Quality Control issues.
700lb Ripped Lenny 3rd gen's are very nice, specially for autocross, their wide stance gives them a very nice feel and grip, if you want one for inline speed they are not that fast but I suggest a 4th gen if you want to do drag racing.
For a moment I was thinking hmm... why is there not a crossover for the fuel rail? Oh yeah, gen 5 engines are direct injection. Haven't worked on one of those Gen 5 small blocks yet.
Do you think it would make a power difference putting mikes old cam and heads in that stingray? Or are the LT4's nearly the same spec as the those cam and head wise stock for stock?
You ever tried putting this set up together but with a bigger throttle body? I got my AFE intake and MSD manifold with my 100 mm TB with the tapered adaptor and I cannot make the intake wind tunnel for between the filter and TB. I am frustrated!
Jeremy, the new LT1 is the LS3 and LT4 is a LSX ith some minor updates from the LS9 and forged internals. The LS3/LT1 are safely limited to about 600-625 whp due to fuel and internals. That's 665-680 crank hp. Probably 100 hp more than for 90% of the people. Only hard core drivers/racers push beyond 500 crank in them. I know guys thst have gone through 3 LS3/LT1 motors with all kinds of mods and the whp limit is around as stated above, if you want it to last 5k miles. You can do a built LS3/LT1 for about $6-8k that will be good for upto 800 crank hp/715 whp.... Fords tend last longer at higher hp levels than GM V8's, infact those damn Fords can push nearly 100-150 hp more stock, safely. That's post 2018+.

TokeXecution The slow acceleration is standard for those years with the 5.slow. It's probably working as designed. The bucking is because it's a pony car and you didn't break it in gently. Try petting it and feeding it some carrots.

And you can see through the window it's obviously red. Are you sure your not color blind? You might want to look into that. Not that it's a bad thing jus saying if red looks brown to you.... yea I'd get that vision checked for color blindness it's actually fairly common... I think there's online tests that will tell you.. I remember doing one, one time

I have one and I love it, they're cheap to get into, fun to drive, low on power but theres a big aftermarket for them
