- Here's the sequel of Kamen Rider THE FIRST movie, sadly, it's both The NEXT and The LAST one too.
The plot was kinda messy for these 2 movies and it didn't connect much, but the fight choreography are hella good. That's why i made the first one. And here we are!

This is exactly what I wanted. I didn't care for the story at all, but the Rider and monster designs and action were amazing, so this is just a compilation of all the shit I loved with all the shit I didn't care about cut out.
If Ichigo, Niigo and V3 *THIS* good, imagine how Black/RX gonna be.
well let's just hope it doesn't follow the manga version. god the ending of black in the manga was Depressing.

This is the best Kamen rider movie ever made after Kamen rider the first. The Dark theme storyline, fighting choreography, music score and costume design is top notch.
If only the horror parts aren't inside, I would gladly watch it again and again... (∩´﹏`∩)
I completely agree with you. Out of all the Kamen Riders that have come before and after this movie, none of them look nearly as good as the two Kamen Riders in this. Kamen Rider the First and the Next had the coolest looking Rider suits that not only payed homage to the original Kamen Rider tv show but they still managed to make them look classic and intimidating. The wire-work, stunts, choreography, fight scenes, and dark tone really pushed these films in another league. With that being said, I thought they would never make another Kamen Rider movie like this again until I saw the trailer for Shin Kamen Rider. That movie looks like it’s going to be a fun ride while bringing Kamen Rider back to his roots.
I like ZO the most myself.
I really wish they continued this movie franchise... I want to see a modern take on riderman

The costume designs for this reboot were so clean! I was hoping if they did make a sequel after The Next it would involve Hongo getting his upgraded form and Ichimonji being revived and getting an upgrade.

The action and costume design is great but they all look so similar that it gets really hard to keep track of who we're supposed to be routing for, especially with how dark the colour palette is.

Ahh... This is why I love reboot+showa Kamen Rider. They don't keep using special skill such as mighty critical Finish etc. All they need is good fight choreography. Amazon was a huge success for neo-heisei era.
Yeah, the fight choreography is so good, it kinda match how kung fu movie were but not quite to it but it still pretty dang good
Yelling out rider jump and then rider kick is still pretty much cheesy. Get over yourself and stop this "edgy = good" nonsense. For one thing Amazons itself is all gore but writing couldn't be anymore mid.
While I love the designs and fights, as well as how they made V3 a legit badass, I feel like the "reboot" films should've taken some notes from Garo, which was a successful dark tokusatsu show. Since The Next came out after Garo's release, taking notes from the show might have made the film more successful.
Didn't Garo had a rough start, considering it was a full on dark tokusatsu series that was aimed for older audiences, in 2005, a genre that pretty much did not exist, and incredibly hard to market at that time.
Heck, the first time I watched Garo during the early 2010's when I was a kid, I was highly confused with the series, and couldn't make a proper thought on it. The series was completely different from other toku series, which was the reason that cause a massive mix response, during its original release on television.
It gain popularity thanks to its TV specials and movies set after the first series. Also, it did gain a sustainable cult following throughout the years. At least, that is what I heard.

They're not normal hoodlums like Bubble mob when been defeat change to Buble foam. Those 7 was a cyborg and more advanced than Kamen rider Ichigo.How he supposed to fought all and win against 7 of them.In original manga HongoTakeshi proceed to fight hit n run tactics defeated 1 by 1 .But still he can't, until IchimonjiHayato come to help HongoTakeshi..

I love The First and The Next movie. It almost like a DC superhero/hero movies-dark and almost mature. A little bit of realism. I adore the suit design. Unfortunately the budjet quite low, i wish to see "more". I hope they'll have change of heart and decide to remake same version/style of movie for all Riders. I wonder how new Black and Stronger will look like.

You got your wish (if you haven't heard). There is a modern spin on Kamen Rider Black in the works. The suit, driver and motorcycle has already been revealed. The approach to the film has been touched on and I believe Shadow Moon's suit has been shown too.

Seeing this and Amazons, I really wish that Toei could make a separate Rider universe for online streaming services while still retaining the more kid-friendly, gimmick selling series on TV.
A more adult oriented Rider universe with raw fight choreography as shown in this video and not afraid to show off some brutality and nudity like the early Heisei series. Who knows some lucky chum from the more adult series would later being cast as a main character in the main TV series.
Hell, at this point, I don't mind seeing an anime adaptation of the Kuuga manga or Fuuto Detectives once those are done.
Seeing as how in Zero One you see the monsters actually getting punched, slashed, blasted, etc with them visibly getting blown to pieces before exploding, I think we can see some Kaijins getting gibbed to a larger extent in these potential adult oriented shows

Toei would do it if these movies didn't bomb, the Amazons one was a box office failure too... Sad to be honest 'cause it was pretty good unlike The first and The next which sucked hard. So yeah they want to do more, it's just the audience doesn't care.

@@HiroIndo16 The first had too much focus on drama and a love-triangle relationship between the two riders that was very forced and didn't exist in the original. There's like 20 minutes of actual action on it. Real bummer
Seem to be a lot o Rider Punch Finishes instead of Rider Kick
well in Kamen Rider the First they used more Rider Kicks than punches. Since Rider Punch was more of a Nigo/V3 thing (though they also used Rider Kicks) and this is less of an Ichigo movie and more of a Nigo and V3 movie, it makes sense they'd use more Rider Punches than Rider Kicks.
It just hit me that the guy playing the jaguar kaijin played Amadam in Wizard. The facial expressions are even the same.
Also, V3 played Drake in Kabuto. Go figure.

the choreography is welldone, not too much skill spamming to kill here and there, too much ovepower.. i love how the hero here is be able to defeated too, very nice.. but still the hero WON with superpower.. need more balance for the enemy
This is a damn good film series. I wish they could have continued it with V3, Riderman, X Rider, Amazon, Stronger, Super One and ending the series with Z-Cross

We need more vehicles if they’re gonna be called Kamen RIDERS! Maybe give Vulcan and Valkyrie their own bikes like “ShotWolf” and “RushCheetah”. Remember when Second Riders had their own vehicles like Meteor, Baron, and Mach? They need more of it!
The two things I don't get is why it took 6 "Hoppers" to fight one civilian when any single one of them is 20-30x stronger than full grown adult gorilla
The 2nd thing is they're suppose to be bio-organic cyborgs meaning those weird helmets shouldn't be taken off like a normal helmet but instead "retract" off of them it would make more sense..
Because they wanted to retain the "Rider" theme during the Showa era, thus they make the mask as full face helmets instead of full tech armored mask like Iron Man. Also, Hongo isn't a civillian. He is considered the most perfect cyborg soldier compared to the Shocker Riders, and Ichimonji, thus the need to overwhelm him in a fight with quantity to make up for their subpar strength. Next's V3 power level is still vague though. In the original show, he supposedly a fusion of 1's and 2's power, so he should be stronger in that sense.
hmm.. well in V3's case I think it's a matter of survival instinct and experience that he lacks in comparison to 1 & 2 doesn't just matter how powerful or strong one is. If your opponents/allies have been doing it longer chances are they'll adapt to their situation at a faster pace.. after all adapting is what All humans excel at after all.

this retake of showa rider....they are cyborg.....hopper 1 are the perfect cyborg where he dont need a blood transfusion also he regained his humanity something shocker didnt expected....for hopper 2 he still need a blood transfusion he considered as incomplete old model....at the end of movie he died.
@@AkiraHisyamHobbiezz i alway's assumed the reason Ichimonji needed the blood transfusion was due to shocker wanting to make sure that he stay's loyal to them.

Well, I prefer KR should have more creative ways to kill enemies other than making them explode. Ex: throwing them into a volcano, sending them into a black hole, or sneak them up from behind and stabbing them.

Eh? Black was dark enough (it WAS directed by Ishinomori Shotaro himself after all) and the editting was top notch. That opening scene was almost identical to the Guyver movie's. X through ZX need to get a face-lift since they were still using cheap effects.

@@FoieGras the Manga was mix of both, and has a tinge of Go Nagai's Devilman. especially in the later chapters. not to mention both Black and Shadowmoon are practically equal's in both power and abilities. such as the ability to kill or revive someone from a mile away just by focusing their energy to their target.

Man, I loved these movies. Even though Decade was my first TV Rider the First and Next were my first Movie Rider films. Wished they continued these or that at least the suits and the style got over to America. Great films.
