Heads up! Would love feedback if you do audio or have done audio on the little things you learned! New to this, something that I can see being fun to mess around with in the near future. Thanks for watching and supporting ❤️💕
You're having grounding issues because the factory stereo is grounded through its chassis to the radio brackets. Most aftermarket head units have a separate ground wire. Your front speakers and tweeters might not be firing due to not connecting the amp signal wire, disconnecting the front factory amp and not completing the circuit, or not connecting the M49 joint connector found on the dash harness.
What he said, it's almost always some kind of ground. Down the road tho I'd get the little alpine power pack, it's a little baby amp and I'd bridge it to go to your front speakers. That would really take to the next level. Also powerpack ties into the radio harness, it's literally plug and play
Quick tip for you next time, go to the junkyard go to any e46 and take the oem sound system. It's all Harmon kardon and slaps and for the say price as your boss deck you get 2 speakers and 2 woofers. I got you guys💆♂️💆♂️🧮🧮🔌🔥
Just fyi the wattage numbers you were talking about were "max output" or "peak output", car stereos generally put out about 16 to 24 watts RMS which is the power which you actually use and listen in the real world. For future, try the Pioneer head units, the in-built amp quality is very good on those. P.S. always love your videos.
Rohan Aggarwal thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to look into it more! But so far for no external amp this deck has done a lot better then the old single din kenwood. Can’t wait to get the fronts wired up!
I notice your rear speakers are oval, were they a direct fit or did you do some custom work? I bought 6 3/4 circle for my rear bc I didn’t think oval would fit.
I probably would have used butt connectors over regular connectors for audio. That way bumps and vibration won’t cause any interference to the circuit joint.
yev was like some mad man, that good at his job and got OCD hahaha this guy fucking interesting. more of this guy in next video please! XD btw wiring arent fun at all, fucking stressful and complicated, i hate it! haha
Nah brah, that BOSS only does about 80 watts per channel peak. RMS watts are the number you should be paying attention to. That BOSS does about 20watts per channel and your Alpines want about 85 watts RMS. Long story short, you're gonna want to put an amp on those speakers. You're more likely to blow your speakers with an underpowered amp, instead of an overpowered one.
