I love this band so much! ⚘ I recently got the 'Finelines' CD (which is actually discontinued). It took me like a decade to get it, but it's finally part of my collection 🤘 Som is an awesome artist ☆
Mgmt comment. The billies are there to see the band, not the light show. Timing is excellent, I’ll admit that.. use faders, rather than flash buttons though. Always is fucked up.. it took me years to convince Som to use followspots..! Put the faces on stage.. that’s what the audience wants to see. Care of Phil Chadwick. Other comments.. there is a police car on stage..
On and off far too quickly, looks like a pile of 1’s and 0’s going past at a million miles an hour. Lighting desks have these things called faders. Take it from the original MV LD. Lacks style and a deft touch. On- full power million times a second. Listen to the music.. not a square wave.. not digital... rises and falls.. lay off the flash buttons. Yuk.
You can’t light a show from start to finish with strobes giving it beans.. You are taking over the music. It may be in time to the music, but after about 10 seconds of watching, brings on a migraine. Lights. 0 out of 10. 😔
I knew this band because a friend of mine introduced my vitriol when he was living in germany, one of my favorite bands since that time
