For the hunters out there if you hunt from the ground and hit next to a tree first thing you should do is take your foot and scrap all the leaves away from where you are standing this will help when you have to move and it will cover your sent that fresh dirt smell it will help it works for me
That looked like some crazy action! I was holding my breath on that big one! Also you should throw some wax on your bowstring. I couldn’t help but notice that when you were drawn back
Excellent video congrats i really enjoyed it thanks for sharing and great luck to you this year also i just filled my doe tag during the early antlerless session up here in Michigan a couple of weeks ago happy hunting 👍
Congrats! Never easy bow hunting on the ground. Thx for turning me on to ToA broadheads. Was fortunate enough to take 8 pt two weeks ago using them. Very happy w ToA broadheads & will use again next season.
Thank you and no problem!! Congrats on getting an 8 point that’s awesome!! And same here I will be using them many seasons to come!! Best of luck on your next hunt!
I love the G5 Optix XR2 sight. I have 4 of them - 2 black, 2 camo. The closest thing to this 2-pin sight is the IQ Pro Hunter with 2 fixed pins and 1 moving pin. The only thing I don't like about the IQ is the Retina-Lock being too bright and blinds you if you have to turn on the sight light to see your pins. I just went ahead and put black electrical tape over the Retina-Lock window.
I really want to go hunt in some different areas of PA. I hunt the mountains in 2C. But, it's hard to find an area now that I want to try that doesn't have a bunch of CWD restrictions on moving deer. Great hunt! Glad you took up a little more space in the freezer!
Great success! I just near the same area as you and have had no luck I think the deer are not moving as much because of all the drives that have been going on they gave them locked down. Have only seen 3 deer since rifle. But atleast someone had a little bit of luck in the general area.
Great job congrats it’s not always easy to pass up on bucks like that on public land especially. So it’s nice to see someone show some discipline and make a conscious decision in the heat of the moment and not take a shot that you knew just didn’t feel right. Sometimes I think as hunters we know in our gut if we can make a shot or if it’s going to end up wounding the deer and you should listen to your gut Do you mind sharing what wmu you were hunting in.? Great job
I know I'm going to probably get flamed for this, but here goes...lol Do you have to worry about snakes when out in the woods during the hunting season? That's the one thing that keeps me out of the woods. Especially sitting on the ground. BTW I'm in the Catskills. I know it's different everywhere. Just curious about your area.
No never would I ever do that to anyone so no worries there and thanks for the question! in the Spring and Early Fall you may have to worry about timber rattlesnakes but once the weather starts getting cold the snakes retreat under rocks or other places into there dens for winter.. so in general in deer season in Pa you never have to worry about snakes no!! but in Spring gobbler season yes you most definitely should keep an eye out if you are hunting where there are known rattlesnakes!!
Yeah not sure its how it came when I bought it!! I think the camera may make some sound to from me moving when I shoot but I know what your talking about!
Congratulations buddy, I'm happy for you. It makes me happy that you said thank God, that it would feed your family and friends. When I kill a deer I always thank God and thank the life of the deer for giving me food to feed my family. Great video buddy.

I agree... It had just rained so the leaves were very quiet on this day so not much of an issue but I agree i do normally do that!!
Tearing up as you said thank you God❤️🥺 reminded me of my first deer with you. Such amazing memories.. God really is so so good🙏🏻
Ill never forget that day when you got your first deer 🙂
Awesome hunt Vaughn, boy do I miss the crunching of the leaves, and the excitement of drawing back on a whitetail
Thanks!! Yeah there's something to it that is very special!!
Congratulations!!!!! I’m always so proud of you. Nothing like the outdoors.
Haha Thank you!!

smart not letting the arrow fly on the first buck,, but with bucks on the move surprised you didnt wait to see what was behind the doe you shot..

I think your broadhead is hitting your riser when you draw back and pulling your arrow off your string. You need longer arrows.
Congratulations ol boy. It nice when you hunt with friends and family to help drag. Lol
Thanks and yes you aren't kidding!! haha

its a baby
Good shot, congratulations, eating well tonight
Thank you I already had some!! 👍🏻
Can't for the life of me figure out why you shoot a doe when you have bucks coming to you you left and right wow
I have a few doe tags and only one buck tag... and I like to hunt for bigger older deer but enjoy venison so thats why I shot a doe!
Should not show a tag that you did not fill out on camera and put it on the deer. You need to fill it out and cut the date on the backout
Thanks mason for letting me know that
Noisy bow
You can't eat the horns, a nice looking doe is meat for the freezer to eat all winter, good shot
I agree thank you!
