- The Georgia Peanut Tour celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. More than 200 people from 12 states and six countries went on the three-day networking tour, which focused on south Georgia peanut research and production around Bainbridge, Ga., including stops in Miller County, Attapulgus and Blakely.
"The quality of Georgia peanuts is what we want to showcase on this tour," said Billy Mills, chairman of the tour and superintendent of the University of Georgia Attapulgus Research and Education Center.
Brad Haire speaks with Mills about what the tour accomplished and who was on it.

The scene moves closer to the hopper as the peanuts spiral down into the hopper.
The scene changes to the peanuts moving up a conveyor.
The scene moves to a peanut field where a farmer is driving his large tractor.
The scene changes to peanuts being shaken on a sifter.
The scene returns the Haire and Mills.
The scene changes to the group of attendees milling around.
The scene changes to the attendees walking through the peanut shelling parking lot.
The scene changes to a group of attendees listening to a presentation.
The scene changes to a man looking at freshly graded peanuts.
The scene changes to three men sitting behind freshly pulled peanut plants having a picture made.
