I turbocharged my Mk4 r32 and regret selling that every day. IMO, the VR6 is THE best sounding engine ever.

@@clickonmeppl98 same cost as for vr6. Anyone could do whatever he wants to do but it could be even a bit more expensive than a vr6 and that money could go for an r32 complete engine. I have friends aiming 400kw with 2.8 vr6, many ppl told em its easier with 3.2 not 2.8. They went with the 2.8 first saw it wont work then bought 3.2. So they could save 5k€ if they went 3.2t from the start
R32 is something special man, every car guy n girl has some kinda universal respect for them.

I’d love to supercharge my MK5 R32 if I had the money. Love how the supercharger doesn’t change the exhaust note like the turbo does so you still get the beautiful VR6 roar.

YES RICKY! Proper motor, one of the best sounding 6 bangers in my opinion. The Konig's aren't the best over long journeys, RS4 wingbacks are a lovely upgrade.
I drive my 550bhp mkv R32T daily. It feels illegal to have this much speed and control on the streets! Best car I've ever owned by a landslide!
Built the engine myself. Biggest mechanical achievement of my life. I shoot 2 foot flames and scare the living souls out of my passengers😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣👍🏾!

I had an un-modified MK4 R32 and can say in all honesty I got pumped by an ep3 civic type r.
Who knows if it was standard but it started pulling away at 140+
That being said, the drama and theatre you experience driving an R32 is unparalleled in hatchbacks. Even the focus RS or S3 Audi’s fall short on that engine. It was an engineering unicorn.
I will have another and it will be charged induction

I miss when the R32s/R’s were just for the nutcases that wanted more than a GTi. Now everyones got the new R’s and they’re just no longer special
Infamouz I'd have said that it then makes the mk4 & 5 a little more special etc but there's at least another 4 mk5's round my town and I do see a few mk4's, but the car I don't see much is the mk6 Golf R... And owning a golf you always look at other vdubs, well, I can speak for all the gt, gti (and so-forth) owners.
Id take an r32 over a R every man,woman and cat owns an R and wtf they went 2.0L
Infamouz i’ve got a friend with a mk7R,when we’re both driving around the mk4 gets more looks from the public. Crazy fast and an incredible car for the money but it can’t beat the VR Noise 👌

Mk 4 was such a legendary shape. Loved the ring lights on the back of the Mk 5 too.
Mk 7 is pretty nice too. The Mk 8 is a mistake.

@@112boatman yh i think the mk5 r32's do 19mpg? On paper so when u drive it the way it should be driven im guessing its single digits
gamessurgeon I’ve done 60k+ in my mk5, average 25mpg across the board which is a mix of short trips, longer runs and weekend hoons. People see low 30’s on a long run. You’ll see 15-20 on a proper hoon, but not single digits. They do like a drink but they’re special cars for sure.
not even that bad on fuel, people see 30+. i dont but mines on sticky tyres 😂
