- Dec 16, 2017. Day 2 of 9-day Meditation Retreat with Ven. Dr. M. Punnaji Maha Thera held at Buddhist Maha Vihara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. On this day, there are 3 sessions with Bhante Punnaji.
1) Morning commencement and instructions at 9am;
2) Afternoon review and Q&A at 3:30pm;
4) End day closing at 5:00pm.

I've been meditating for some time but, for whatever reason,I never saw the simplicity of it all so clearly as now!

I liked the all discourses of Dr.
Bhante Punnaji Mahathero, he is very knowledgeable and expert in displaying the comparitive study between Buddhism and Western philosophers, scientist and their theories on various subjects discoveries. He present all these in a Synthesis method which became easy to understand the Relevancy of Buddha's teaching to the Modernity.
We in india do meditation in the form of Vipasana which is initiated by Late SN Goenka It is conducted very meticulously through audio video recordings.

Why meditate?
One is to removed greed, hatred, delusions.
These 3 factors are the main cause of one endless birth.
To remove them will not be easy and impossible if without the BUDDHA instructions.
The instructions that lead to ends of further rebirth.
Thus vipasanna meditation were instructed by the Buddha to be the way leading to the stopping of further birth. One can reach this moment 0f stopping of thoughts once the mind shuts down during vipasanna meditation.
This will be known if one are guided by ariya and the correct instructions of the practice are shown correctly.
Nibanna can be here and now.
