    I just started golfing and used Vice Pro Vice Pro+ and this week I’m breaking out 2 color sixron a star and TP5x also surprised on how many guys I know playing just use random balls

      Some people lose so many balls, they don’t care what they are playing. Using the same ball every time helps with consistency. I’m a big fan of my new ball. Part two drops tomorrow (5-2-2021)

    Who does a Ball Fitting? Seems to me you start with Budget and move to Feel then on to distant. My Recommendation is get the Kirkland Golf Balls v2.0 right now you can get them for $25 for 24 Balls.. Feel like a Pro V1 and a 3rd of the cost.

    have you found any relationship b/w clubhead speed with ball compression. I've been trying to find a suitable ball for high driver speed (125-130mph).

    • @Duffs2Darts
      @Duffs2Darts 3 роки тому

      That’s a speed I don’t understand LOL. My guess is that you would want to look at the X models though. The testing process doesn’t measure the compression. It’s focused more in spin, ball speed, smash, accuracy and feel.

      @@Duffs2Darts I've tried PSI rating from 35 (maxfli) to 110 (Dunlop DDH). For me it comes down to feel on contact....the softer covers I guess but the problem is going to 90 PSI (eg. pinnacle gold) there is excessive draw. I live in Pakistan so there is not much choice you can get...therefore my question.
      Some calculations I did were pointing towards 85% of clubhead speed (using swing speed radar) was giving best results in direction, height but that only held till 115mph; I was just looking if there is some study or findings relating to high swing speed.

      @@shakeelpal7689 I think feel is the biggest part of it. I don’t hit it that hard but harder than most amateur players I guess. I did a part two to this ball test where I took it to the course. That might help you as well with your own testing.

    Is there some UA-cam rule that say all UA-camrs have to use the gayest music possible?

    • @Duffs2Darts

      Kind of. Certain music won’t play due to copyright so we have to find stuff in the UA-cam library that won’t cause that to happen.

      I would have had to bring them. If you play them and want to see if they are the best ball for you, you can add them into your test. I asked 😉

    Just saw this. Bringing back bad memories of forced mask wearing. Other than that, I thought there should have been a bigger sample of balls, maybe 6 instead of 4. I appreciate the effort though. Lots of good information about ball technology.

    • @Duffs2Darts
      @Duffs2Darts 3 місяці тому

      I can add some context to the quantity of balls tested. Steve had a big case of them. I was asked a bunch of questions upfront regarding the ball I “currently play”. The first part of the test was blind putting. We moved forward with the ones I liked the best off feel from there. There is no limit to what you can test, it’s just their way of narrowing it down and speeding it up. It’s a fun process if you ever get to try it.
      Also the mask part definitely sucked so I was glad they let me take it off.

      @@Duffs2Darts That's reasonable. Still playing the TP5? If not, what are you playing? Ping has a ball testing app and for $ 40.00 you get a lot of useful data and can retest for a year. One of the balls recommended was the one I use (Bridgestone Tour B RXS). Anyway, I like the channel. Thanks

      @@Duffs2Darts the best I could determine was
      club head speed x 0.85 = best compression.
      With a pressure snap like Mike Austin (that’s about 20-35 deg before ball contact) it seems to be 0.90xClubhead speed…. That’s the reason our iron carry distance changes by approx 7%.
      The rotational approach seems to have less impact on ball compression as the club head is essentially released post contact.
      The carry distance when I use rotating tech vs. (Austin’s) slide has ranged from 7-14% regardless of ball compression…. I’m sorry I cannot be more precise as I don’t have access to sophisticated bio-mechanical equipment out here… maybe you can make more sense of this.
