Hi! when I switch my “Launch CSM” option from enabled to disabled, my PC gets stuck in BIOS whenever I turn on/restart or try to exit BIOS. When I looked up how to get my PC to stop being stuck in BIOS, it said to switch “Launch CSM” back to the enabled setting. But if it’s on the ‘enabled’ option, my PC health Check app tells me I cant download W11 bc I don’t have secure boot enabled lol. I am stuck in a loop, any info to fix this?
More than likely your boot drive is set to MBR and not GPT format. So when you disable CSM you more or less are taking away your PCs ability to find the boot drive. Your only two options to correct this issue for windows 11 would be to reinstall windows with the correct settings in your BIOS or run the MBR2GPT tool. I have a video on my channel covering the MBR2GPT tool that you can run in windows. You can also use this to verify if your boot drive is in fact set to MBR. You can also do some searching online for the tool as well, plenty of information & write ups out there for it.
I thank you for taking the time to upload the video in the steam review to solve this problem I was having. I can play after following the steps you recommended. Many, many thanks and greetings from Argentina!
This might interest people using dualboot with a Unix-like OS: Windows 11 appears to only require fTPM and secureboot enabled during the installation. You can later disable it and windows 11 will work fine and you'll be able to swap install drivers and third-party kernels in your other os.

Why is it that when i disable CSM i can no longer boot into windows? I just get moved back to the uefi mode. Is my motherboard too old? I have a B350 rog gaming f with a 3300x
Typically that means your boot drive is formatted to MBR & not GPT. So when you switch your BIOS mode it can't find the boot drive anymore. However, sometimes the issue is your BIOS doesn't know what drive to grab and you have to assign the boot drive as your boot drive in the BIOS, but that isn't a common occurrence in my experience. If your drive isn't formatted properly, you will either need to run the MBR2GPT tool in windows or reinstall windows with the BIOS set up for UEFI mode. Your hardware isn't the issue, I have an older chipset that that and CPU in one of my PCs and have no issues setting it up.
Thanks, my settings were a little different, I think because I recently updated my BIOS firmware, but it was easy enough to follow. I am not sure if secure boot will say setup or not, most people (myself included) don't normally turn off these options.
Hey, when i go to the secure boot settings the secure boot control option is missing so i cant change it from disabled to enabled simply because i dont have the option to change it. What should i do?
More than likely your boot drive is formatted to MBR & not GPT. If that is the case, you will either need to format the boot drive from MBR to GPT using the MBR2GPT tool in windows or install windows again with the BIOS settings correct for UEFI mode.
There have been a few people in the comments who have ran into this issue, you can try clearing the CMOS by removing the battery from the motherboard, with the PC turned off, this will reset the BIOS back to its default settings, but depending on what you had changed in the BIOS, you will have to make those changes again.

How do you turn what off? I talk about a few things in this video. You are going to have to be more specific.
Thank you so much bro
No problem!
Hey, when i go to the secure boot settings the secure boot control option is missing so i cant change it from disabled to enabled simply because i dont have the option to change it. What should i do?
To start with, do you have the BOIS in UEFI or CSM/Legacy mode?
@@Bananabrain_xmfI have same issue as well, I’m trying to convert my bios to uefi but it’s in legacy and I can’t find vid to help
I just get stuck in a loop being forced into the bois after each restart
More than likely your boot drive is formatted to MBR & not GPT. If that is the case, you will either need to format the boot drive from MBR to GPT using the MBR2GPT tool in windows or install windows again with the BIOS settings correct for UEFI mode.
@@Bananabrain_xmf that was the issue, I’m too lazy to do it but thanks for reminding me maybe I’ll do it today lol
@@loveyzs3285 Ha! I know the feeling.
Thank u so much kind sir
No problem!
My secure boot says custom and standard instead of enabled and disabled I don't know what to do
Standard should be what you are needing, custom would allow you to set up your own settings.
Thanks man!
No problem!

Glad it worked for you!
What happens after I did the firmware tpm and I saved and reset it, the screen won’t turn on?
There have been a few people in the comments who have ran into this issue, you can try clearing the CMOS by removing the battery from the motherboard, with the PC turned off, this will reset the BIOS back to its default settings, but depending on what you had changed in the BIOS, you will have to make those changes again.
Thank you😊😊
You are welcome!
