Your journey is beyond inspirational, Adrian. Congratulations on a phenomenal transcendent experience. It was a pleasure to meet you in the first couple miles of the event if you remember me. I'm the individual who went missing in the mountains for 18 hours.
Sorry I missed your comment! Dude, that must have been an unexpected adventure, glad you got out okay! I think I remember chatting with you on the early climbs while we were still happy & lucid :)
@@adrian_powell I feared for my life and thought many times I wouldn't make it. That means everything. Yes, I absolutely remember you. It was very nice to chat with you at the beginning.
How do you even prep for races like these? I'm just starting out preparing for BMO 2024 full marathon by adding extra miles each week. But 200km is insane I can't wrap my head around how anyone can manage it!
Congratulations on trying the Vancouver Marathon, it's a gorgeous route! Training for one is surprisingly similar to an ultra. The big differences would be trying to add in back-to-back long runs (2 to 3 hours). Keep that up for a while, practice fueling and pacing, get comfy on trails and you can tackle ultras. Check out Coast Mountain Trails for some fun Vancouver races and good luck!
Hello Adrian My name is Inga and I live in Denmark a quite flat contry - and a small contrey too. In the noth of Europe near Norway and Sweden. i really love to see your video from both Moab 240 and this one 47 hours. I have subscibed your blog but what do you think I shall do now to learn more about your travelling in these long , long journeys when you challenge yourself running. ? Inga.
Thanks Inga! I don't have a good place to track - do you have any suggestions? My next races are Bandera 100km (January 8th), Zion 100mi (April 15th) and Bigfoot 200mi (August 11th)
Great video! Great run!
Thank you!
I love your vidoes so far, your attitude, the attention you pay to your surroundings, so life affirming.
Congrats! And thanks for the video. I'm heading up to do FD in 2023.
Awesome, hope you enjoy it, the sheer volume of alpine is amazing!
