It's not based on how high and light your voice sounds although nothing wrong with having a light upper register if ya got it flaunt it but having a low register shouldn't automatically mean you can't sing

I remember always being teased about my deep voice. I remember my music teacher always telling me to hush because I didn't sound like the other children. So I've always been kinda self conscious about the tone of my voice. So I had to develop my own voice, all kids don't sound like Minnie Mouse when they sing.
Don't listen to your music teacher all voices are beautiful. And how high your voice is does not determine how good you sing it comes from practice dedication and talent never let them drag you down we need more singers with deep voices.
