It's complicated. I'll try a short summary. Years of oppression left an impoverished people with no high culture, an inferiority complex and a lack of classical education. A good people dependent on the Church as the nation emerged into independence. Narrow Mindedness as the country encountered social development and eventual economic growth along with Church scandals and a clergy previously at times heavy handed and then heavily infected with modernism resulted in a severe backlash against the Church. As the people encountered economic development and failures amongst the religious leadership, materialism and sexual liberation was embraced, fuelled by American corporate interests (heavily present due to generous tax rates) that ingrained themselves in Irish culture through political activism and media social engineering, exposed to an even greater extent due to the loss of the Irish language. Many wounds here and blind people. Good natured but deeply corrupted. England's role is noteworthy with regards to the centuries of oppression (which in fairness did also fuel a warm nature in Irish people along with their faith, but somewhat intellectually bereft) and Ireland's exposure to British and American media due to the loss of Irish language. Often criticism of Christianity in the media was informed by a criticism of a Christian fundamentalism that wasn't indicative of Christianity in Irish culture, which although it had its faults was ingrained in the soul of the nation in a positive way. That's the gist anyway as I see it.
This was about the Jewish people because God hardened their hearts so that all nations might see the work of God and receive it. One day their eyes will be opened when the time comes. We know what we do because the law is written on our hearts. And if we can admit that we our wrong in our works we can have the truth and understanding revealed to us.

I'm from Northern Ireland myself and I'm embarrassed by the way these people presented themselves but I was also just like this at that age - talking over everyone, more concerned about impressing the crowd and thinking I was right and everyone else was wrong. I feel deep down these people really yearn for something more meaningful in life but don't know what it is. I've come to read the bible just this past year and it blows my mind with it's wisdom and it has helped me become more humble, loving and discerning but it is also very hard reading at times, as I know a lot of us aren't living within Gods law, as it can be very difficult when He wants us living spiritual lives while living within a physical body in a physical world. I sin, repent and sin every day usually about the same things over and over again and I have people in my life whom I love dearly and are lovely caring people but they are living together out of wedlock or gay/trans. I worry for our salvation but then I remember Jesus already knows we're not able to do this hard journey on our own and that's why He says in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest". All I can do is pray for myself and everyone to trust in Jesus to lead us in the right direction and for His grace, mercy and forgivness for them times when we fall down. It will always be a battle when we're in our physical bodies trying to live the spiritual life but the good thing is God understands this and helps us every day, by sending us the Holy Spirit as our helper and guide, if we ask Him to. He will help us keep trying and growing stronger every day til the battle gets easier to bare. Give us wisdom, discernment, your strength, mercy and grace and more loving hearts towards each other dear Lord Jesus and help us to live more spiritually minded, for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.🙏 💕

But whether a person is brought up in the secular world or with Christian beliefs or from other religions we can all agree this is a very tough world to navigate and it takes a lot of strength to be able to live by God's laws. Especially for someone like that first person in the video who identifies as trans, they wouldn't have just woken up 1 morning and decided to be trans. Just like a person who feels homosexual doesn't choose to be. Why would they when religious and non religious societies have ostracised them for so long? So a lot of hostility towards people comes from feeling misunderstood and judged. Any trans/gay person I know has had years of inner turmoil, feel like they are in a living nightmare and don't want to be the way they are but feel it's how they were born. Some have even contemplated suicide. God obviously doesn't want that for them. I think people in mainstream society are starting to become more accepting of gay/trans people not because it's trendy or immoral but because they realise the hurt & hostility these marginalised members of society have gone through for centuries and know the hate must stop now. What is the solution? Quoting bible versus alone at people isn't going to help them change. If the word of God is just delivered to people without also reminding them of the need to pray for Holy Spirit guidance to understand God's word and ways, it's only going to fall on deaf ears. They need to understand the importance of having good spiritual teachers who can help them learn and grow in God's word and also the fact that change may not happen overnight but the step by step process will be a fruitful journey with God by their sides. We need to talk compassionately to people, show understanding for their struggles and pray God touches their hearts and minds and changes our thinking to His way of thinking. All people whether trans, gay, straight, young, old, Christian or non Christian need to show each other more understanding and tolerance if we want healthy discussion. I pray God can help us all heal this broken world of broken people.💕

as a 17 girl, it’s sad that these people who are my age or older are acting this way smh i’d say about everyone in this crowd never got reprimanded for anything they’ve done in their life and think life doesn’t have consequences. even at my age i’ve done many things that i will regret for the rest of my life. i’ve suffered both from mental illness and physical illnesses, and through life experiences that (although may seem minor, i wouldn’t wish upon anyone) although i know i have a long way to go in terms of my faith, i know my place in heaven is more secure than the people shown in this video

It's complicated. I'll try a short summary. Years of oppression left an impoverished people with no high culture, an inferiority complex and a lack of classical education. A good people dependent on the Church as the nation emerged into independence. Narrow Mindedness as the country encountered social development and eventual economic growth along with Church scandals and a clergy previously at times heavy handed and then heavily infected with modernism resulted in a severe backlash against the Church. As the people encountered economic development and failures amongst the religious leadership, materialism and sexual liberation was embraced, fuelled by American corporate interests (heavily present due to generous tax rates) that ingrained themselves in Irish culture through political activism and media social engineering, exposed to an even greater extent due to the loss of the Irish language. Many wounds here and blind people. Good natured but deeply corrupted. England's role is noteworthy with regards to the centuries of oppression (which in fairness did also fuel a warm nature in Irish people along with their faith, but somewhat intellectually bereft) and Ireland's exposure to British and American media due to the loss of Irish language. Often criticism of Christianity in the media was informed by a criticism of a Christian fundamentalism that wasn't indicative of Christianity in Irish culture, which although it had its faults was ingrained in the soul of the nation in a positive way. That's the gist anyway as I see it.

I'm from Northern Ireland myself and I'm embarrassed by the way these people presented themselves but I was also just like this at that age - talking over everyone, more concerned about impressing the crowd and thinking I was right and everyone else was wrong. I feel deep down these people really yearn for something more meaningful in life but don't know what it is. I've come to read the bible just this past year and it blows my mind with it's wisdom and it has helped me become more humble, loving and discerning but it is also very hard reading at times, as I know a lot of us aren't living within Gods law, as it can be very difficult when He wants us living spiritual lives while living within a physical body in a physical world. I sin, repent and sin every day usually about the same things over and over again and I have people in my life whom I love dearly and are lovely caring people but they are living together out of wedlock or gay/trans. I worry for our salvation but then I remember Jesus already knows we're not able to do this hard journey on our own and that's why He says in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest". All I can do is pray for myself and everyone to trust in Jesus to lead us in the right direction and for His grace, mercy and forgivness for them times when we fall down. It will always be a battle when we're in our physical bodies trying to live the spiritual life but the good thing is God understands this and helps us every day, by sending us the Holy Spirit as our helper and guide, if we ask Him to. He will help us keep trying and growing stronger every day til the battle gets easier to bare. Give us wisdom, discernment, your strength, mercy and grace and more loving hearts towards each other dear Lord Jesus and help us to live more spiritually minded, for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.🙏 💕

But whether a person is brought up in the secular world or with Christian beliefs or from other religions we can all agree this is a very tough world to navigate and it takes a lot of strength to be able to live by God's laws. Especially for someone like that first person in the video who identifies as trans, they wouldn't have just woken up 1 morning and decided to be trans. Just like a person who feels homosexual doesn't choose to be. Why would they when religious and non religious societies have ostracised them for so long? So a lot of hostility towards people comes from feeling misunderstood and judged. Any trans/gay person I know has had years of inner turmoil, feel like they are in a living nightmare and don't want to be the way they are but feel it's how they were born. Some have even contemplated suicide. God obviously doesn't want that for them. I think people in mainstream society are starting to become more accepting of gay/trans people not because it's trendy or immoral but because they realise the hurt & hostility these marginalised members of society have gone through for centuries and know the hate must stop now. What is the solution? Quoting bible versus alone at people isn't going to help them change. If the word of God is just delivered to people without also reminding them of the need to pray for Holy Spirit guidance to understand God's word and ways, it's only going to fall on deaf ears. They need to understand the importance of having good spiritual teachers who can help them learn and grow in God's word and also the fact that change may not happen overnight but the step by step process will be a fruitful journey with God by their sides. We need to talk compassionately to people, show understanding for their struggles and pray God touches their hearts and minds and changes our thinking to His way of thinking. All people whether trans, gay, straight, young, old, Christian or non Christian need to show each other more understanding and tolerance if we want healthy discussion. I pray God can help us all heal this broken world of broken people.💕

I have heard Northern Ireland referred to as Europe's South Korea because of the supposed influence of the Gospel there and the high proportion of church going compared to other European nations. I love this guy, he's very brave and very interesting to listen to. I met him and the group he was with when he was preaching in Brixton, London - where I live. I'm a Christian and seeing someone preach so boldly ESPECIALLY in Brixton in this day and age was refreshing. I probably stood listening for about two hours and he was engaging hecklers to debate with him. It was really effective.
